4 out of 5 eggsGreat card!

Pros: Pretty nice card! All of my games including BF2 run on high setting with AA. Has a nice, big and quite fan. Doesn't take up too much room, especially in a micro-ATX case. No PCI-E cord required.

Cons: Would be awesome if it has 512MB memory.

Other Thoughts: Awesome card for such a low price. A lot of power behind it for an average gamer.

2 out of 5 eggsATI = BAD

Pros: Decent card

Cons: HORRID service

Other Thoughts: Let me start with a basic where I stand on video cards. I have purchased nothing but NVIDIA previously, and this was my first ATI card. I have never had a spot of trouble with NVIDIA but everyone seemed to love their ATI cards and the drivers were easily available since they switched to the Catalyst system.

I had this card for about 3 months when it just died. I was upset, but I figured it would be resolved easily. The ATI support site is not setup in a customer friendly way. When I did email them, I got some generic go here for warranty service and fill out this form. Typical outsourced run book type response. So I went and filled out the form to get an RMA for the card. Then I spent around $7 to mail it with insurance.

It made it back fast and I was impressed that they shipped it overnight with FedEx. Excitedly I went and got it back in my computer. Turned it on and the whole screen was a nice plaid. Okay, let me try another computer. Same thing, and put an old card in and it

2 out of 5 eggsMonitor Cycleing

Pros: Hrmm. guess it worked outta the box. Nice core and memory speed, but its not everything needed to run a nice card. Can the card play games, yes. Did it take Over 8 years to Finally Bring back 32bit Z buffer in a low end card, Sure did. So 32bit Z buffering helps. It says it has crossfire ability. But nowhere on the internet will you find the 1300pro talking about its crossfire ability. Least i couldnt find it. If someone has this running in a crossfire board please let me know if its better lol.
Good if you blew up ur onboard video card and ur not a everyday intense game player. But you wouldn't be here if you was LOL.

Cons: Not a gamer card. So dont let the game guy on the box throw u off.
Lacks the other stuff needed like a bigger pipeline. 8 would have been a nice place to start.
Silly to put 32bit Z buffering on such a lowend card. But guess thats what lets it compete with the X1600. Good luck with this Readon and there Drivers lol. Its not Asus's fault really. Since they dont make the drivers.

Other Thoughts: Anyone buying a 4pipeline pixel is not gaming intense anyway.
I have two of these cards running both in a abit KN8 Ultra (939) board. One board has a AMD 64 3700+ (1mb cahce) and the other is a AMD 64 3200+.
It runs ok in the 3200, problems in the 3700 for some odd reason. But machine run Dual Channel DDR400mhz memory 2,3,2,6 timmings. Anyway THe card Cycles Twice ON the 3700 alot more then on the 3200. Cycels on boot up and at Login Box and then again once your at ur desktop. Ive owed Gefore cards for a long time. I regret goin Readon. From the unstable drivers and the make of this card.
Since its only 80bucks now. Hey cant go wrong I guess. Its no Radeon 7200 or 7500. Nor is it a 9800. Have the lastest radeon omega drivers. they are ok. but again seems these cards will ack differently with different CPU's. Casue one machine identical cept cpu runs perfect. Other machine runs like garbarge.
X1600 X1800 go for those. Who knows if anything I wrote would even help lol.

2 out of 5 eggsEh...

Pros: Looks nice is all I could truly say about this card...

Cons: From the moment I installed I had nothing but problems. Even updating to the latest drivers didn't fix the issue with the card causing my monitor to not be recognized and it would either give me a black screen or a scrambled signalwhich could be "fixed" by power cycling the monitor twice every time I turned the pc on. The other issue was how loud the fan is, it is in my honest opinion too annoying, reminds me of the Delta 92mm hi speed fan I have...almost anyway

Other Thoughts: I think Asus needs to take this card back to the drawing board and yes I will be exchanging it for another. BTW Newegg rocks UPS sucks...

4 out of 5 eggsGood performance = loud fan

Pros: Great performance for the value. Better than spending big buck on current cards before Direct X 10.

Cons: Fan is LOUD. I have the Aspire X-Navigator case, and this fan is louder than all the other fans.

Other Thoughts: Wanted to give it five eggs, but the fan held me back.

3 out of 5 eggsGood But Drivers Suck

Pros: Overall, it works well. Computes quickly, achieves a respectable 3DMark score. Plays Doom3, BF2, and CofD2 just fine. However...

Cons: The drivers are TERRIBLE. When playing FarCry (and OLD game), the drivers become unstable and I get the blue-scrren-of-death. Also, the fan is TERRIBLY loud. I've got 6 other fans, including 2x 90+ FPM fans, and it drowns out all of them. It probably runs ~48dB.

Other Thoughts: I'd go with an official ATI card.
