wow, excellent card!!
- Pros: This beast runs very fast yet is quiet. The heatpipe cooling system is quite sophisticated. Its way faster than my PNY 7800GTX which is clocked at 450. FEAR is perhaps the best test and everything maxed still runs like butter. All other games its overkill. This is a six star card. Dare I get another for SLI?
- Cons: Big, but who cares. Quiet is better than thin.
- Other Thoughts: NewEgg got it here in two days even though it was supposed to be three
I'm impressed
- Pros: This is a very fast card. My 6800GT card wasn't playing well with BF2 and the FPS varied a lot from map to map and it has never averaged higher than 50 fps with a petty low graphic settings. This card however is very fast. BF2 FPS performance varies from 60 FPS during the absolute worst momentary action in the game to 100 FPS when things are calmer. The average FPS in BF2 is 80-90 FPS at 1280 x 1024 x 32 with every graphic setting to the maximum setting. This card eats everything I've thrown at it for lunch. 3D Mark 05 benchmark gets a score of 8312. Then I auto over clocked it and I have the GPU running 516 MHz and the memory at 1300 MHz. 3D Mark 05 benchmark score is now 8578. This card runs very cool and it has the best cooling system with its' huge heatsinks/heatpipes/fan combo of any of the 7800GTX cards. If you can afford an $$$ card like this and you consider yourself a hardcore gamer, this card (Bud) is for you!
- Cons: The card is huge! Make sure you get an awesome motherboard that has everything you want on it because this thing will basically take up 3 slots. Two for it and one to create a nice air gap for the fan unless the adjacent card is less than a full height card.
- Other Thoughts: I'm running a A64 4000 cpu. I'm a Electrial Engineer and I've built 20-25 computers thus far.
Wait until next year when I SLI this beast with another card! :)
From a New Buyer
- Pros: I just purchased this card, And i understand that I HATE reading reviews of a product that the reviewer doesn't own yet, but just so other know I have owned nothing but LeadTek products, and they work beautifully. I look forward after reading multiple reviews on the card and from past experience that this should be a beast for my system.
- Cons: Space is being reserved for when it is In-Hand.
- Other Thoughts: The cards have rocked, the dual cooling solution makes em alot cooler. From my past track record the leadteks rock... However once they phase em out of main spotlight, good luck getting the driver support from Leadtek... But the original Nvidia drivers work fine as they update em.
