5 out of 5 eggsGood, silent card

Pros: Good, silent card. Doesn't get too hot, but my case has 12cm side fan that is centered right over the card. No extra power required. Provided utilities seem to work OK, over-clocks card automatically/manually.

Cons: 3DMark06 scores nothing to write home about, fps are faster than on board 6150, but those were near zero.
Utility program has lots of options, some a wee bit dangerous to have just sitting a click away, like BIOS Flash is right next to VTune and the names are similar. Also mem clocks shown are half (~400MHz) what ones expects (~800MHz), especially when GB has similar SW for the MB which shows clocks at DDR2 rate, consistency would be nice, least a noob push the video card from 400 to 800+ smoke the vc mem at DDR2 1600!

Other Thoughts: Plays nice Gigabyte Nvidia based MB.
Plays the games I want well, even Flight Sim (2000) at full settings.
Handles OpenGL, recognized by just fine by several Linux Live CD (FC7).
Wish I could have gotten the silent version of 7600GT before they dried up. :-( This card will have more than enough performance till the next build (and Vista is not in the plan).

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good

Pros: Fast and Silent

Cons: Runs around 55/56C not really a con I suppose since that seems to be normal with these. Even with Arctic Silver 5 on the GPU.

Other Thoughts: Much faster at processing video than my onboard graphics were. Once again it is quiet, adding a fan to cool it more would defeat the purpose of getting this card.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good card

Pros: Not a bad card. Runs BF2 and BF2142 without many hiccups on max settings. Runs Oblivion around 40fps on my system. I got this as the first of two for my SLI setup.

Cons: Gets a little hot. First one I had burned on within a matter of days but I've had this one since December of '06 and its been great. I also added a PCI slot fan below the card just to be safe.

Other Thoughts: My specs are AMD64 3000, 1GB Ultra memory, 3x 40GB HDD's, Creative Audigy 2ZX Gamer sound card. Good card for those on a budget. Silent pipe is nice.

5 out of 5 eggsThanks Fellow Reviewers!

Pros: Plays nice in my Shuttle XPC SK22G2B V2. Runs about ~50deg.
Thanks Fellow Reviewers!

Cons: Gigabytes' web site is kinda clunky to find stuff but no worries.

5 out of 5 eggsNice N Quiet

Pros: Got 2 of these for a SLI build. Love the silent cooling. Runs BF2 without any problems. Looks good on my HDTV.

Cons: The heatpipe on the back of one of the cards sits right in front of my chipset fan and runs a little warmer than the other. I just dont use that one to drive my display.

Other Thoughts: The get a little warm but not hot. My case has a fan that sits perfectly in front of the cards but I would think it wouldn't hurt to have some kind of extra cooling for the card(s) if you plan on some long hours of serious gaming.

5 out of 5 eggsGood video card

Pros: Purchased about 9 of these thus far and none have been DOA.

Cons: Passive heatsink gets rather hot, even when just in the regular Windows XP desktop.

Other Thoughts: Bought these for an office, and so far so good.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely fine.

Pros: No issues. Love the passive heatsink- gets warm, of course, but not excessively.

Cons: none to date.

4 out of 5 eggsGood so far

Pros: SILENCE! Runs my son's games although @1920x1200 some of 'em get a bit jerky in complex scenes. I have a 1920x1200 monitor on the dvi output and a 1600x1200 on the vga. Works great. Was able to drive my hdtv with 1080i (old tv can't take 1080p).

Cons: I'm not a gamer but my son is. This card ran battle front but in complex scenes it got a bit "steppy" but then it was running at a 1920x1200 screen resolution so can't complain too much for the price (and amount of noise it doesn't make).

Other Thoughts: Heat doesn't seem to be a problem in my p180b case. At least no screen artifacts or lockups so far.
I left the slot next to the heat sink open.

5 out of 5 eggsNice and quiet

Pros: I put this in a quiet server (Seasonic/Antec Solo/Zalman 9xxx CPU cooler) hooked up to my projector and it worked perfectly with no hassles. The card is hooked up to a projector and used as an HTPC/MAME/DVD player, and it works great. It even handles the oddball 854x480 resolution of my Infocus projector without issues.

Cons: Pack-in game was Xpand Rally... never even installed it.

Other Thoughts: I don't play 3D games on this card, but I like having the option (even if settings are lower).
