Fans? We don’t need noisy fans. Gigabyte put a high efficiency heatsink on their GeForce 7300GT based PCI-E based video card for great cooling with absolutely no noise. This makes it a great choice for a media server since there’s no extra fan noise to cause a disturbance. On board there is 256MB of GDDR2 memory to handle the needs of today’s operating systems.
V-Tuner 3 lets you monitor and over-clock your video subsystem for maximum performance. It auto-detects the most suitable settings, eliminating guesswork. It monitors both 2D and 3D clocks plus the memory clock so you know what your card is doing at all times.

Excellent Card
- Pros: A very solid card. It performs well as a low-end gaming part, but is especially well suited for driving Windows Media Center (including Vista Media Center, which I am currently using).
- Cons: Large heatsink can cause some issues in very small enclosures.
- Other Thoughts: This is a terrific card, and for the money it’s a steal. While it certainly won’t be confused for a 7900GTX, it is still a solid performer in DX9c games. Where this card really shines, however, is in running Windows Vista’s Media Center. Thanks to its passive cooling, PCI-E only power requirement (no PSU lead required) and solid mid-level DX9 performance, this card can drive media center (and Vista’s Aero Glass) beautifully on a 1920x1080 display. Last, but not least, the assembly quality of the card is shockingly good for an 80 dollar part. Easily the best value card I have ever bought.
Media Center PC's
- Pros: FLAWLESS DVD video playback
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: I bought three of these for building media center pc's and the playback using (1 S-Video, 1 Component Video, 1 DVI video) are ALL flawless. My family and I ALL love the quality of playback. And being fanless, they are QUIET!!!

Great choice for a quiet PC
- Pros: As quiet as it gets (no fan), and cheap, too.
- Cons: Had to remove the slot cover below it to bring the temp down from 65+ to 53-54 C. Seems to be normal for modern cards, though.
- Other Thoughts: Keep in mind that, even if the card is capable of running at very high temperatures, the motherboard may get overheated locally, which will play hell with its life expectancy.
- Pros: good card, yes SLI does work (see below) i purchased two cards each about 3 months apart. usability on these things are great for the price. i have two crt monitors running in 1028X768 32 bit. i did hookup and test my hd tv with the provided adapter and gameing was a bit choppy running 1080I at 1280X768 (wide screen) lowering to 720 didnt help much. movies and other content displayed at a smooth and constant rate. adding the second card was easy and streight foward, everything went as expected. after 3 reboots i was able to install all drivers and get SLI mode running on windows vista, the drivers were instatly recognized and point and click junkies will have an easy time getting this working.
- Cons: SLI! come one now, why doesnt nvidia drivers support multi-monitors in SLI mode? intel and AMD support running multi threads on a multi core (or multi CPU) system... i fail to see why this hurdle wasnt tackled yet. i heard 3rd party drivers have limited support for multi monitor and SLI, but havent tried. there is no noticable proformance increase for normal office applications.
- Other Thoughts: over all performance for SLI mode is about 60 percent increase for my normal games. i end up toggleing SLI (and rebooting) for each differant mood i am in. i refuse to loose the second monitor because it is just too handy for everything. this is the first system i have tried to work with SLI and i am very glad i purchased the cheap video card to learn about this interesting technology.
Just right
- Pros: Works perfect for video editing and all graphics applications. Gets toasty but that's what you get with a fanless design.Good card for this price.I'm no gamer.
- Cons: Just the heat but that was to be expected.
