Perfect!
- Pros: This is one of the best DX9 cards out there. It runs every game that i have perfectly! This is wonderful card and has the best price!
- Cons: none!
- Other Thoughts: I wish i had a better PSU its only 300w but the card still runs great! Im upgradeing my PSU so ill beable to play it with better performance!
Nice and quiet
- Pros: Supports widescreen resolutions, fan is very quiet, Civilization 4.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: I don't hear the fan on the video card at all. With the case closed, the entire box is nearly silent (with 2 120mm case fans). Maybe I'm going deaf in my old age..My setup:
Intel E6600 2.4GHz with stock fan (running at 28-33 deg C).. Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 board.. 2x Mushkin 1GB DDR2 800 (model 991527).. 2x Western Digital Caviar SE16 320GB SATA 3.0 HDDs (RAID 1).. Gigabyte GeForce 7950GT 512MB GDDR# PCIe x16 with Zalman VF700-AlCu.. Samsung 18x SATA DVD burner.. NEC Floppy drive with round cable.. Mushkin HP-580AP ATX12V 580W Active PFC power supply.. Thermatake VD3000SNA Aluminum ATX mid case.. ViewSonic X series VX2235WM 22" 5ms DVI Widescreen LCD.. Logitech MX3000 wireless desktop.. Windows XP Pro.
Awesome
- Pros: Moderately priced, PCI-E, 512 DDR 3, 24 pixel pipelines, 256 bit interface, Shader 3.0, top notch Zalman cooler
- Cons: Molex power connecter instead of PCI-E
- Other Thoughts: I had to upgrade my system to play Gothic 3 which is a resource pig!! I paired it with the FX 57 processor, (dirt cheap now) an inexpensive Asus A8N5X and 3 gigs of CAS 3 speed DDR 400 memory (which runs at 266 with 3 gigs [2x 1gb + 2x 512 gb]). It plays it at maximum settings when my X800 Xl was barely chugging along at medium low settings with an Athlon 64 3400. So the 939 line has reached it's end-Don't care..I saved a bundle with tremendous performance gains with this high powered card and a once flagship processor. Make sure you have at least a GOOD 500 watt power source.
