Won't make this mistake again
- Pros: Good price. Good graphics....
- Cons: Installed this in my Win 7 32bit Media box and it's like watching old home movies. The video blinks horribly and it's the same on EVERY box I put it in. Probably just got a bad card and since this is my first ATI card in quite some time I think I'll go back to Nvidia.
- Other Thoughts: If you notice the blinking, ditch the card for a box that doesn't play movies or game...
Works, but no VGA LP Bracket included!
- Pros: Low Profile
Fits typical Dell slim cases Windows 7 found the drivers upon initial boot and it was ready to go after one reboot HDMI works well, and both audio and video DVI+HDMI LP Bracket is included
- Cons: No VGA LP Bracket is included
The internal VGA cable is very short
- Other Thoughts: Why in the world did they not include the LP VGA bracket? There are some monitors made today that STILL have only VGA, and not the other two.
And if they're going to leave out that VGA bracket, they could've at least made the VGA cable longer than a half-inch, so that a different LP VGA cable would be usable. I tried, but it isn't as the VGA "hole" is on the lower half of the bracket, and for this card's VGA cable to reach that bracket, the VGA "hole" on the bracket would have to be at or very near the top of the bracket, not the bottom.
I knocked off an egg for the LP VGA issue, but it does seem to stay in even without the bracket and screws (so it works for now), and the card seems to be made solidly.
Undecided
- Pros: Price
Low Profile Low power draw
- Cons: Couldn't get two monitors to boot
- Other Thoughts: I have mixed thoughts on this card. I have a cheaply built pc that's loud and I keep in the garage as a remote server/ seedbox. I had a couple extra monitors lying around and figured I'd hook them and use it to watch movies and get some use out of. It seems like one other user had the same problem as me. I don't have HDMI monitors, so I used a DVI->VGA adapter for one monitor and the supplied VGA slot for the other. When both were connected, the computer wouldn't even boot to bios, let alone into windows. However, simply removing one prior to the boot process solved the problem, and the second monitor could be connected later and work perfectly. For me, it's not a big problem because the computer is always on anyway, and I'm not going to knock the card because I haven't really put much time into attempting to solve the problem. I'm running win 7 64.
