5 out of 5 eggsExcellent!!

Pros: Overclocks like a beast, equipped heatsink and fan are incredibly effective. After 24 hours of folding at 730/1750/2150, it's still only 49C with the fan set to minimum speed (35%). Incredible performance from both games and folding, getting almost 5000 PPD with this single card!

Cons: Absolutely none.

Other Thoughts: Get it!

5 out of 5 eggsgreat card great price!

Pros: brought my vista performance rating from a 4.6 to a 5.9! on my card and from a 4.6 to a 5.1 overall. very quiet, drivers installed fine. great graphics and a great card for the price. and the free rainbow six vegas 2! and rebate! how can u go wrong with this card at this price. i highly recommend it

Cons: only cons is that it is direct x9 not ten and 384 instead of 512 but i am running 4 gigs so it's not a real issue. and the size is something to be considered, looks larger in life than on your computer screen trust me!

Other Thoughts: only minor details are despite what new egg says it is a direct x9! says so on the box though on newegg they say direct x10. also it is a very long and large card, takes up two back slots and is at least 9 inches long or longer. so users with a matx case you might want to reconsider! but i had no space issues with mine.

5 out of 5 eggsFollow-up to my first review

Pros: Reliable, MSI quality & service, excellent for lower resolutions (I pretty much stick with 1024x768)

Cons: Absolutely none for the current price

Other Thoughts: To clarify my first review, where the heat issues I mentioned were called in to question by a later reviewer, I have 3 of these installed in SFF cases where the airflow isn't the greatest at the bottom of the case. I just bought one on open-box & I was happy to see the MSI Service sticker on it, which meant that it would work perfectly and it did. And, I got it for less than the after-rebate price!! Anyway, I paired this card up with an Vantec Iceberq 6 (CCB-A6C here on the 'egg) and it works perfectly. I removed the back metal vent from the Iceberq and then fastened the blue plastic vent right to the double-wide back vent already on this card. I also took two of the aluminum heatsinks (since this card only needs 6 for the memory) and cut them in half with a hack saw, then spanned them over 8 of the mosfets. There are three mosfets that are further apart and I had to cut a southbridge heatsink into thirds, two of which spans those 3 mosfets perfectly, bridging on the middle one.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat deal

Pros: Took my FPS in World of Warcraft from 14-30 FPS to an amazing 30-100 FPS,gotta love it. Easy install, drivers worked fine.

Cons: This is a Huge card, big, ginormous.

Other Thoughts: This card performs great, but if you don't have the room for 9 inches of card then stay away.

3 out of 5 eggsget more for your money

Pros: good card, looks nice, inexpensive.

Cons: i bought one of these(not from newegg) and it worked fine, then i made a newegg account, and realized, i can get 512MB of memory on the same card for $1.00 more.

Other Thoughts: i would get the 512 MB version

4 out of 5 eggsNot a bad card for the price

Pros: Inexpensive PCIE2 card. Video looks great.

Cons: DX9 (most others in this class are DX10), and the cooler doesn't allow proper installation for SLI

Other Thoughts: I ordered two of these to run SLI on my ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard. I had to remove the plastic cover from the top card to even get the second card onto the board. the fan still wanted to hit the screws for the bottom card, so I had to bolt each card down at a slight angle in the case.

Runs HL2 Episode2 and Bioshock on the highest video settings, and is perfect.
Runs the Source online games (TF2, DODS, CSS, INS) almost on full high.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget card!

Pros: Seaweed cooler seems effective, is incredibly cheap for the performance, and overclocks like a beast. It plays CoD4, DMC4, GHIII, and Crysis on high settings to maxed out with 40+ AVG FPS. <3 this card.

Cons: Ordered a few days early. Missed the Witcher bonus. =/

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure why the other reviewer said the fan is mediocre. This generation of Nvidia cards tend to run a bit hot as is. At 35% fan speed, it didn't pass 60C over gaming while overclocked to 710/936/1512.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget card from MSI

Pros: Quality build, good price (especially if rebate materializes), decent warranty, it matches the MSI motherboard I paired it with ;)

Cons: Cooler looks great at first glance, but is mediocre

Other Thoughts: This is the first time that I have purchased a MSI video card (I love their mobos) & I purchased two at once (for twin S939 Athlon X2 gaming rigs). The included cooler isn't the one with heatpipe that MSI uses on their 9600GT. The only similarities between the two coolers is they both have the "seaweed-blade" fan, which is only so-so marketing & cavitates air rather than pushing it. It is solid aluminum, about 1/2" thick & does not touch the RAM. It did keep the temps <70° during a single run through 3DMark06, but I couldn't trust it for lengthy 3D gaming cycles, which is what the computer it is in will be doing. As far as performance of the card itself, I am very impressed, for the price. It brought the Athlon X2 System with 2GB RAM from a 3DMark06 score of 4500 (with the previous 7800GT) up to 7200. It will get me a few more years out of their capable 939 systems, which was what I wanted. Now, with a Vantec CCB-A6C installed, this card rocks!!!
