Don't Give Into PCI-Express Yet!
- Pros: For the price you can't beat it in my opinion. I upgraded from a 9800Pro and boy am I impressed. I didn't want to throw aside my current computer and have to fork over a ton of money to upgrade to a PCI-X mobo and I'm glad I didn't.
I also was impressed with the stock cooling on this beast. Out of the box I was able to OC the GPU to 594MHz from 540 and the memory clock from 590MHz to 614. Although admitedly it's not that great of a stride, but I did that all without being able to get the temp over 70 degrees Celcius, far below the operating temp of a ATI GPU.
- Cons: The biggest disapointment I can find so far is that it doesn't have Shader Model 3.0, which is required by some games now for HDR lighting, such as in Oblivion.
Also it's still AGP so you won't ever get the same preformance that you can with PCI-X, but if you got an older video card with a decent configuration otherwise don't waste the money on buying a whole new rig when you can put a smaller amount of cash out to prolong its life by a year or two.
- Other Thoughts: I still haven't had a chance to test out 3DMark with this card, but every game I've played with so far has greatly improved. Also if you have a HDTV the Platinum Edition comes with some nice components that will let you use your comp with it. Now I can play Oblivion on 45 inches of greatness.
I'd say it's definately worth the buy especially with the recent price drop.

- Cons: I HOPE THEY CAN HAVE IT IN STOCK SOON..I'M GETTING IMPATIENT AND THE 7800GS IS VERY TEMPTING, I HOPE NEWEGG COMES THROUGH WITH THIS AGP I'M AFTER!!!
Great Card
- Pros: This is an awesome card for AGP. Great graphics with awesome performance. 3DMark05 score 6100+ out of the box with this setup.

- Cons: Didn't get one sooner.
- Other Thoughts: If you are still running an older card on AGP and trying to play newer games then ditch that card and get one of these! Believe me it makes a world of difference.
