5 out of 5 eggsREAD the System Requirements

Pros: This card works great in older machines RUNNING Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: PLEASE read the system requirements for this video card. It clearly states that it runs only with OS Windows 2000 and Windows XP. The software and supporting applications were never ment to run Win 7 or Vista.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy if using Windows 7!

Pros: N/A

Cons: Bought this card before I upgraded to Windows 7, and didn't install it until after the upgrade. Well guess what, even though there supposedly are drivers out there for it, it does not work under Windows 7. Complete waste of time and money.

Other Thoughts: I guess you could give it a shot if you are on XP (or maybe Vista).

1 out of 5 eggsNot compatible with Windows 7

Pros: Win XP and older Adobe Flash Player is o.k.

Cons: Recently I upgraded my PC with Windows 7. Installed also the latest Adobe Flash 10.1 off course. But video is jerking and flickers a lot.

Card was working fine on Windows XP but on Win 7 no luck at all.

Why? Well since this card is too old and moved to ATI driver legacy now so if is a software issue it wont be looked at and that card doesn't have UMD 2.x or DXVA 2.0 which Flash 10.1 requires.

So don't buy this outdated and not supported graphic card with correct drivers.

On top of that if you are trying to get support from VisionTek... good luck with that too...

3 out of 5 eggsGood but overpriced

Pros: I have had this gpu in my pc for a while know. It covers the basic tasks. It makes the PC look a little better if you don't have one that is better. Runs most of the older games such as the half-life series, css, tf2, kotar, elder-scrolls oblivion and morrowind, etc...

Cons: If you do not know, this is wildly over-priced; with the same amount of money spent you can retrieve a card with nearly double the power and capacity.

Other Thoughts: Overall I will not insult the card for it is stable and performs well in mostly everything but modern applications.

I also didn't get this from Newegg, but I own the card and felt like I should review it...

2 out of 5 eggsDid me no good.

Pros: Easy installation.

Cons: I thought the card was defective. With high specs as this card has, I figured my games graphics would improve. Turns out my Geforce fx5200 runs better in my computer. The Catalyst Control Center won't open up. Honestly, the entire installation was plagued with problems.

Other Thoughts: After discussing my problems with technicians, I found that a computer can only be maxed out to a certain point regardless of what card you have. It would be wise to know your computers limits before you buy.

4 out of 5 eggsGood, for what its worth

Pros: -Better than Integrated video.
-About as good as it gets for PCI.
-Despite its age, ATI's newest driver at the time I installed was Feb 21, 2007.

Cons: Other than the obvious that its outdated...

-May be a pain for some to install (see below)

Other Thoughts: I bought this so that I could play World of Warcraft, it resolved my problems with getting blue screens and driver errors with my Onboard card, It comes with an extra, longer bracket in case you need the other size. At first glance it looks difficult to change it out, but all you really need is a phillips screwdriver to unscrew your factory bracket (may vary on other pc's, mine is a dell dimension 2400) you will also need either a tiny wrench or do like I did and use an extra small adjustable wrench for removing the pins holding the bracket to your card, then put the new larger bracket on, and your ready to go. Also if you have an onboard card like me, since it is soldered into the motherboard you will have to go to your device manager after installing the card and manually disable your onboard video card, that way your computer knows which one to use. sounds hard but its really not that complicated.

5 out of 5 eggsBought For Grand Father

Pros: Bought cause grand father wanted to play fsx on his xxx$ dell haha what a horrible mistake someone did giving him that game but with no agp and no optinon this worked fine for his purpous fsx runs on medium settings at 15 fps not bad if i have to judge

Cons: none really pain in the neck setup if you have intergrated video thats all

Other Thoughts: bad reviews are people that dont know jack 9 of 10 times every product has a specific purpous if it fits that purpous then its a 5 this is not a gamer card but a last ditch to scrape another year of a computer that is just for someone who is doing the basics

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Selection

Pros: If you have a Dell Dimension E310, this is the card for you. With the few PCI cards left in a world full of PCI Express cards, this one is definitely one of the best you can expect.

Cons: Bad part is that the bracket attached to the card is short for most cases. It comes with an additional standard sized bracket, but its near impossible to figure out how to put it on. Metal cutters make be needed. After the protruding part is off, slip it into the pci slot and its good to go.

Other Thoughts: For an idea of the strength of the game you can play with this card. I can play Oblivion on Medium settings with little to no problems.

5 out of 5 eggsBest PCI Card

Pros: Got this card to replace Nvidia GeForce6200 which had horrific driver support. This card has no issues with video or blue screens like the Nvidia did. Very vivid resolutions and not bad for gaming.

Cons: price
