Nice Card

Pros: Quiet; stable; great dual monitor card for the office; low cost; Nvidia software works great with the card making adjustments easy. Relatively small size compared to other cards on the market. Takes only one slot.

Cons: Not the fastest card, or even close for that matter. But it's fast (holds its own) for this price range. Runs warm to the touch.

Other Thoughts: I just bought my second one of these. Bought an 8600GT passively cooled unit earlier this week (DX10) It was very hot compared to this - 71 at idle. Like having a waffle iron in the computer. I RMA'ed it (other problems too)... DX10 is for those going with Visa - I'm staying with XP as it runs faster. DX9 is okay by me... With DX10 and Vista you'd need a much more powerful card to get good results - DX10 in an 8600 card would be too slow and defeat the purpose of DX10s capabilities. Also, DX10 cards have become obsolete since MS introduced DX10.1 (google it) before DX10 has even come out. When people catch on, the current 8800 cards will have to go (sale). For now, me's thinking this card doesn't pull too much power or create too much heat - why I wanted a silent video card in the first place. This card seems to run between 46-50 C. with a very low speed fan across from it. Eventually I may SLI my 2 cards.

Good card for SLI

Pros: This card is completely silent. Two of these cards could be your most silent and a very effective SLI setup. The 256 MB of independent memory is effective for gaming and video.

Cons: Gets hot under full load, but that is the nature of a fanless card.

Other Thoughts: EVGA is a good brand with a good rebate policy.
