5 out of 5 eggsHot Little Cards..Cool To Own

Pros: run in 40 c low range with stock fans and a good air flow, very good pricing, neither card dead

Cons: wish the bit rate was higher, but for the price no complaints

Other Thoughts: running 2 in sli and living a dream for gaming. the included software is the easiest thing ive ever dealt with.. sli setup was a simple click of the button and ive maxed out all settings on farcry. bf2, hl2, and such without even breaking a sweat.. a good buy if your looking for a better alternative to the dx10 cards

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great on Linux

Pros: Worked flawlessly out of the box on Linux. It can handle all the 3D graphics that I need to do on it and remains cool. I'm sure it can do heavy-lifting, but it's great for the light-lifting that I do, especially considering price.

2 out of 5 eggsHighly disappointed in this card.

Pros: Good shader model support. Able to run most current games on medium to high settings with acceptable framerates.

Cons: Serious problem with quality on this card for me. The card constantly crashes in the middle of games with serious graphical glitches. Sometimes has lines through the BIOS screen or causes the computer to not even boot.

This is a problem that developed over time and was not caused by overclocking or any misuse, since I don't overclock my video card. A shame since when it worked, the card was very good quality for the price. Seems to be pretty hit or miss if you get a decent card from them though.

Other Thoughts: Very likely could RMA this card if I wanted *not* to use my computer for weeks.

Unfortunately, I have very little faith in this company since the first card I bought from them turned out to go bad within 6 months. Trying a different company (MSI) and a better (GeForce 8600) card now.

Sorry, EVGA, I do hope you consider upping the quality control in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsnot bad.. QA issue however

Pros: dual DVI my twin samsung 941BW monitors look quick crisp and clear now

plays my games nicely so far

doesn't need extra power connector

Cons: mfg box arrived in excellent shape, but inside pristine EVGA box the mounting bracket was bent over ...had to bend it back how it should be in order to be able to install card.

latest nvidia drivers 162.18 wouldn't properly run monitors at 1440x900 (native resolution) had horizontal scrolling as desktop was indeed 1440x900 but monitor was getting set to 1024x768?? not really EVGAs fault.

Other Thoughts: if you get this card and have problems w/ 1440x900 on your ws monitor you might have to either try beta drivers or older drivers (using 93.71 currently)
