3 out of 5 eggsOk card for web browsing & low-end gaming

Pros: eVGA is hands-down one of the best graphics card makers around right now.

This card handles most pre-2006 games with easy as long as it is no higher than 1024x768 w/o AA or AF. Doom 3 @ 45FPS, FarCry @ 45+ FPS, WoW @ 50+FPS, BF2142 @ 35FPS, etc. In other words, this is NOT a gaming card.

Overclocks with ease to 400 core/600 memory but watch the temps (see cons)...

Cons: Even though this is a low budget card, coming from eVGA, the cooling on this card was a real letdown. The HSF on my Northbridge cools better than the stock cooler on this card. Idle temps were about 78 degrees Celcius & load temps were about 89 degrees Celcius. After applying some Arctic Silver, temps dropped to 69 idle/77 load.

10 months after purchase, the fan began whining and my machine would lock up solid during any 3D game or application. Traced it to this card. eVGA delivered a new one to my door within 5 days.

Doesn't qualify for the eVGA step-up program.

Other Thoughts: Good card for low-level gaming but after eVGA sent a new one, I eBayed it for a 9800 Pro. I'm not a big fan of ATI but the 9800 Pro runs circles around this card.

3 Eggs because of horrible cooling.

1 out of 5 eggsjunk

Pros: It is a decent enough card when it works.

Cons: Locks up constantly. Overheats. You shouldnt have to spend an aditional $40 to keep a card that you don't even overclock cool. Returned once, now it is too late. Fan and heatsink are smaller than my old geforce4mx...sad

Other Thoughts: I have a psu that puts out 26 amps on the 12v rail and every other part of my pc has been changed the problem followed this vid card. 2nd one now. I give up.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for the money

Pros: Good crad for the money. Runs all Soucre Games with all on HI no problems. BF@ Runs on Med to high mix really depends on map size.

Cons: Small heat sink makes me nervous about over clocking.

Other Thoughts: Good choice for the cheap gamer that doesn't want to do a full System upgrade to go to PCI-E. And Newegg got it hear as fast as normal.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card, Bad Rebate

Pros: This Video Card is awsome! All the games run great... CS:S, F.E.A.R., Battlefield 2, Call of Duty 2, Half-life 2, all can be played at med to high settings. :-)

Cons: The rebate I got with mine didn't work. I did exactly as the rebate said and send it in, only to get a email telling me the info I sent was invalid

Other Thoughts: Great Card, Bad Rebate

2 out of 5 eggsSeems great though plagued with system lockups

Pros: Managed to get a few games in with this video card, video quality seemed adequate for its price. Ran a 3dmark06 benchmark test but listed by core speed as 9MHz? probably just a bug because I got similar scores when compared to other uses with the same GPU.

Cons: Video card would cause the system to lockup/freeze at least 15 times a day. Too late to RMA :(

Other Thoughts: Newegg is great.

4 out of 5 eggsVery good for those on a budget...

Pros: Inexpensive...

Cons: Onboard 4-pin connector may be hard to get off.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend this card for anybody looking for a decent budget card. This won't play the newest games in the highest resolutions with maximum effects and anti aliasing... but it will play a lot of the newest games on "medium". This card is no frills and doesn't have fancy box card and super cooling on it. Instead it's just a simple reference card. If you don't want to break the bank and aren't interested in the newest & most advanced card then I would highly recommend this card.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks for me

Pros: Easy to install, runs any game I throw at it pretty well. Runs BF2 one high with 4XAA and still get 50-55 FPS.... Very overclockable

Cons: Sucks Power.... Sucks power.. ohh did I say it sucks power, when the 300 watt psu is suggested, should really be required

4 out of 5 eggsNice card for price

Pros: Good price, nice performance for a budget-type card. Runs WoW pretty good, with reasonable settings (high, but not maxed).

Cons: Poor cooling.

Other Thoughts: I replaced the stock fan with an old thermaltake I had on an GeForce 4 ti 4600 I didn't use anymore. No problems with it, and it runs pretty cool.
