4 out of 5 eggsA marginal quality card

Pros: It is one of the only options around if you have a system that requires AGP. I had this card in an old AMD system. 2600xp CPU on an old Gigabyte GA7N-400L mobo.

Was able to play Counterstrike, WoW and quite a few other games that are not very demanding. Of course setting were in the middle range.

Cons: I have to consider my self lucky as I had this card a little more than two yeas before four capacitors on it blew out.

Other Thoughts: I was issued this card as a replacement for an RMA on a 5 series Nvidia that Newegg no longer carried back in Nov. 07.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for old system!!

Pros: Installed easily, fanless, plays older games great. I have an old Dell Dimension 4400 with an Intel 845 motherboard, I bought it to replace the stock ATI 128 Rage 16mb soundcard. Now I can play Oblivion on my ancient system!!

Cons: none so far.

Other Thoughts: If you have an old system and need a fanless card this is the one for you!!

1 out of 5 eggsBlown caps, poor customer service

Pros: Ok performance until it died...

Cons: Blown caps in an otherwise perfectly fine PC. Low quality heat sink and caps. Customer Service will not honor the warranty if they do not receive the registration card even though it is within the 2 year period.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is great, EVGA is not.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks okay with Windows 7, but not Great.

Pros: I needed an AGP-8x for this old system, and the price of this one was good. Has worked will for XP Pro and Windows 7 RC.

Windows 7 RC recognized it right away, but Nvidia released newer drivers in May 2009 so I upgraded directly to them

Cons: Had some sparkling that required dropping the color to 16bit and then bringing it back up, but newer drivers helped.

This card marks the low point of my Windows 7 Experience Index with:
Graphics: 2.8
Gaming Graphics: 3.0

Aero Glass works, but it isn't buttery smooth.

Other Thoughts: If you need AGP, then this card will fit right in with everything else you have. It may even be the best part of your old system.

Scored along with the following:
P4 HT 2.6GHz (score 3.6); 2GB DDR (score 4.8); 320GB 7200RPM 16MB cache HDD (score 5.9)

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It worked good for what I needed it for. It was very inexpensive.

Cons: It’s about 4 generations behind but what do you expect for the price and the fact that it is AGP.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Card

Pros: It plays Warhammer online alright 25fps a graphic glitch now and again but beats the heck out of my old vid card

Cons: None thus far

Other Thoughts: good airflow is required the card heats up after about 2 hours on Warhammer but taking the sides off the tower and a simple box fan works for me lol

5 out of 5 eggsGood Cheap Card

Pros: Inexpensive. Provides both a DVI and Analog output. No fan. No power needed to be supplied to video card. Web site had latest drivers. Installation was easy and fast.

Cons: CD which contained drivers couldn't be read.

Other Thoughts: Worked great in my two older Compaq computers and allowed my kids to use on-line graphics games which couldn't be run without the card. First you install the card (I used both PCI and AGP versions). I didn't have to change any BIOS settings as both my Compaqs knew to use the card as the primary video device. I couldn't read either CD which was supplied with the cards so decided to go to EVGA's web site and simply downloaded the driver. The install was quick and easy. Everything runs great. Best upgrade for less than $40!
