Geared for the gamer with high demands and a low budget, the 6200 series sports the same rendering power of their 6600 series cards for best-in-class performance for today's applications and games. The sixth-generation GeForce chips are the only GPU in their class to support Microsoft's DirectX 9.0 specifications with Pixel Shader 3.0 and full Vertex support. No bargain-basement images here: the 6200 is also OpenGL 2.0 compliant – the industry standard for high performance graphics.
The 6200 features four pixel pipelines and has a respectable core clock speed of 350MHz with a 400MHz memory clock. A full 256MB of 64-bit double-pumping DDR SDRAM memory delivers cutting edge graphics at a full 2048x1536 resolution with the ability to go large on an external display using the S-Video output.
The CineFX 3.0 engine delivers stunning special effects with smoother graphics and faster gameplay – even in complex scenes with multiple lighting sources. Nvidia's Unified Driver Architecture ensures forward and backward compatibility with software drivers.

Good choice for HTPC on SDTV
- Pros: Good performance w/ tuner card, output to 32" SDTV. Very happy with the card's capabilities. As stated by previous reviewers, runs cool (around 50F highest) in a system with hotter components. Not a huge card, and is absolutely silent!
- Cons: None that I can think of.
perfectly satisfied
- Pros: Cheap.
No fan. No problems of any kind. Plays Civ4 well, including smooth in-game videos.
- Cons: No composite TV-out.
Some may consider the absense of a fan to be a con, but not when the computer is 2 feet from your head while you sleep and is always on.
- Other Thoughts: Runs at 45-60 degrees C when idle, 63-67 degrees while gaming, while this would be considered excessive for a CPU, doesn't cause any problems with a GPU.
Newegg was a pleasure to deal with, ordered the card on Friday evening, shipped on Monday, was here on Tuesday. (For some reason, it was delivered by FedEx, even though I chose UPS 3-day and was tracking through the UPS website. Not that it makes any difference)

Great for old system!!
- Pros: Installed easily, fanless, plays older games great. I have an old Dell Dimension 4400 with an Intel 845 motherboard, I bought it to replace the stock ATI 128 Rage 16mb soundcard. Now I can play Oblivion on my ancient system!!
- Cons: none so far.
- Other Thoughts: If you have an old system and need a fanless card this is the one for you!!
Nothing Wrong
- Pros: Works perfectly.
- Cons: NONE
Blown caps, poor customer service
- Pros: Ok performance until it died...
- Cons: Blown caps in an otherwise perfectly fine PC. Low quality heat sink and caps. Customer Service will not honor the warranty if they do not receive the registration card even though it is within the 2 year period.
- Other Thoughts: Newegg is great, EVGA is not.
