1 out of 5 eggsBe ready to pay more!

Pros: hmmmm... ummmm...
Nope. Can't think of any!

Cons: EVGA charges you for shipping on RMA for defective card. Problem was unresolved by EVGA Tech Suppt and they said send it back. My CPU usage was 50-60% on idle with AMD Athlon 64 3200+ using supplied and updated drivers. Without drivers, CPU usage was 0% at idle. Updated all bios, drivers, removed scanning and virus protection. Same thing.

Other Thoughts: Be aware that if you need your card replaced, even though it's defective according to EVGA's own people, it's going to cost you. I've never had a problem with Leadtek and will stick with them from now on.

2 out of 5 eggsHot Item...Literally

Pros: Performs like you would expect a 6800GT to in that it can run most games with little to no problems.

Cons: Runs extremely hot. I got this as a replacement for my *ahem* GIGABYTE 6800GT which ran fine in my case setup. This one by EVGA is inferior in nearly every way. It seems no matter what I do, I cannot stop it from overheating. I don't like to have to get water cooling just because I got a replacement card that runs too hot. This irritation makes me wish that I could have gotten another GIGABYTE card.

Other Thoughts: It's not a terrible card and performs decently. But the overheating problem cannot be overlooked. I would recommend this card if you have an awesome cooling system in your setup.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Buy for the Money

Pros: Pretty slick performance, for the most part it plays anything you throw at it. I've got a X2 3800+ and so far have been able to play UT 2003, EVE: Online, WOW, Warcraft, etc with no problems and excellent framerates up to 1152x864. Sweet buy for the cash

Cons: None that I know of

2 out of 5 eggsNot Quite up to par

Pros: Price with rebate may be worth it, looks nice.

Cons: Slower than 128mb counterpart. Seemed to run a lot warmer than the 128mb verson I have.

Other Thoughts: I was quite surprised how this card scored when compaired to the GeForce 6600gt 128mb PCI-Express card I have. This one scored almost 3% lower than this card. I sent it back and Newegg RMA'd it and even waived the restocking fee. I then bought another 6600gt 128 version.

5 out of 5 eggsNice card for the money

Pros: I have had this card for over a month. FEAR and Warcrack run great on it as does Elder Scrolls oblivion. I am about to get another to run SLI.

Cons: Not bundled with any games.

Other Thoughts: I'll review again with SLI perhaps...

4 out of 5 eggsGood fit for my MCE PC

Pros: Nice fit between power/function/form for my Media Center build. EVGA is an excellent brand with good support.

Cons: Onboard fan is the loudest fan in my system.

5 out of 5 eggsvery nice card

Pros: Very nice card, runs all new games out nicely (1280 x 1024 with alot of the high settings on, 40-60fps) BF2 runs good(given your processor and ram are up to par) although I need another gig of ram to make it run more smoothly. HL2 runs great as it is.

Cons: The 8 pixel pipelines and 128-bit memory interface. This will probably inhibit this card down the line when newer games come out.

Other Thoughts: Great card for the price!

3 out of 5 eggsMeh..

Pros: 256MB Version. The 6600GT's are very good for the price (except this one)

Cons: Too expensive.

Other Thoughts: Get the X1600XT. It's cheaper and faster.
