Nvidia's "7" family of graphic cards offers the right solution no matter what your needs. The 7300 GS is designed for the gamer with high demands but a without a big budget. Like the higher-end cards of the series, the 7300 fully supports Microsoft's DirectX 9.0 protocols and beyond.

The built-in CineFX 4.0 Engine and UltraShadow II technology are accompanied by its support for other advanced features which allow the 7300 to deliver cinema-quality graphics. It’s OpenGL 2.0 compliant – the standard for high performance graphics. The 7300 pushes graphic data via four pixel pipelines courtesy of 256MB of on-board 64-bit double-pumping GDDR2 memory running at 533MHz. It delivers a max resolution of 2048 x 1536 and the video can be displayed via the S-Video output as well.

Its integrated dual 400MHz RAMDACs let you connect to connect a pair of displays to speed up your workflow – or spread out your gameplay. Its 550MHz core clock keeps things humming along – shouldering the load of video processing so your CPU doesn't have to. The onboard fan helps with airflow within the case while cooling the card.

3 out of 5 eggsBad Fan

Pros: Works fine...until the fan dies.

Cons: Fan croaked after about 3 months. Same probem as many many other reviewers. I popped a passive heatsink off of an old card, slapped some thermal on the processor and a little JB Weld to hold it to the plastic encasing ... problem solved.

Other Thoughts: Keep all your old PC parts .... u never know when they will come in handy :)

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It's been a great card. I got it early in 2007 to replace a card that died out on me. It can handle a lot of stuff quite well. HL2 looks great with near-max graphics and the card can handle most of it (but reflections and ultra-good filtering slow it down).

Cons: The cooling fan stopped, the card got really hot. This past July I happened to look at my GPU temperature just to see what it was at. Unfortunately the fan was totally dead when I looked at it and I ended up buying a cooler (N82E16835110015).

Other Thoughts: The cooler I got is significantly quieter, and a little better, than the jury-rigged 120mm fan I had blowing at the card. It's amazing what the right products can do.

5 out of 5 eggsVista Cure

Pros: Excellent Video card for a low price, only requires 250 watt power supply.

Cons: Had to re-install the card and the drivers twice before the MB detected it.

Other Thoughts: Needed a cheap way out from a store bought PC with 128 mb onboard video running Vista Home Premium (32) bit (was very choppy) Running great now!

2 out of 5 eggsA 747 is quiet in comparison

Pros: It does a passable job considering..

Cons: Considering it sounds like a 1 - Banshee on ecto-steroids, 2 - a 747 prior to take-off and before brake release, and/or 3 - Chewbacca... If hearing loss is immaterial to you, this would be the perfect card.

Other Thoughts: I took the card out for inspection and have concluded the fan oscillates both vertically and horizontally (translation - garbage design). About 2 months ago I decided to spray the fan bearing with silicone, using the adapter for spraying into low clearance areas. And this worked actually. I am waiting for it to fail, but it doesn't howl any more.....

2 out of 5 eggsBogus Fan

Pros: It performed well for the year it worked. I was able to play America's Army without any issues until....

Cons: ... the fan locked up. The card started emitting a load noise a couple months back and then 3weeks ago the display totally went out. Pulled the card and discovered the fan was shot. I guess one shouldn't expect much for sixty dollars.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this card, spend a 20 extra dollars on something else better made.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst card ever

Pros: Works great for few months until the fan locks up.

Cons: I had this computer built and because of warranty i had to have it repaired at the builder. 3 of these cards have been put in my computer. They run great for 3 or 4 months then fan gets noisy and bam locks up. Warranty is up so now good card i hope.

Other Thoughts: When one goes bad i know that everything has a lemon from time to time. But 3 in 13 month period.
