5 out of 5 eggsTough Lil Scrapper

Pros: Still working! Pressed back into active duty in 2013 after a much newer videocard failed. Fullscreen gaming looks OK on older games on 24" IPA 1920x1200 monitor, like WoW or Total War Series.

Cons: could display artifacts during intense settings and/or marathon gaming sessions despite good airflow/case/PSU/dust control.

Other Thoughts: Guess it's time to be on the lookout for a new videocard - as always, NewEgg deals are usually difficult to beat.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for the Cash

Pros: Runs quickly and can handle high settings on all my games.

Cons: Lets face it, it's not a 7900: It's not going to get a stellar framerate when there's a lot going on and you're running in a high resolution with 4x AA, and such.

Other Thoughts: It's a good buy. I might get another one and beast it with SLI.

4 out of 5 eggsOverall very good

Pros: This is a large improvement over my ATI 9550. Fan only loud on startup and under heavy load. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Cons: The rebate is a scam and will neverr come.

5 out of 5 eggsVGA Cooler Needed, Killer

Pros: Inexpensive.
Doesn't require power chord.
Short pcb, doesn't crowd case.
Overclocks well (602/1560).
Lots of cables and sticker included.
Good frame rates with high settings.

Cons: Stock fan spin up is loud when you start your computer, backs down a few minutes later.
Purchased the perfect aftermarket vga cooler (see below).

Other Thoughts: This video card works well but it's on the loud side and runs hot with the stock cooler.
I replaced the stock fan/heatsink with a perfect fit "ARCTIC COOLING NV Silencer 6 (revision 2). My load temps went from 68F to 56F. The AC NV Silencer fits without modification, keeps the chip cool, and the fan is now silent.
My 2 cents. NEWEGG IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value Card

Pros: This really is a great card for the money! It was very easy to install and I didn't have to deal with an extra power cord to the card. It draws its power straight from the motherboard. Runs most all games on high settings, even on my Dell 4700.

Cons: Make sure you have a decent processor and quite a bit of RAM or this card will bottleneck. I only have a 2.8ghz P4 and 512mb of RAM. From what I have learned, I need at least about a 3.4ghz processor and 1gb-2gb of RAM. The only other complaint I have is that the fan is a bit load on startup on startup and during games, but it doesn't really bother me that much.

Other Thoughts: Just for anyone who is wondering about running this card on a Dell 4700: I only have a 305w PSU and this thing runs fine! It's awesome!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great output graphically, everything looks incredibly nice through the dvi on my 19in widescreen. I keep it clocked at the factory settings, but i got it up to 610ish core and 810ish mem.

Cons: Freezes sometimes on bf2. VERY hot, ran about 70C idle and 80C loaded, but this is a mute point since the latest drivers from EVGA dropped those temps to 54C and 60C respectably. Can be a bit loud at times as well, but not loud enough to make me dislike it one bit.

Other Thoughts: This is a great card for the money I spent for it. SLI doesnt seem like a fantastic option now, being that the dx10 cards should be out soon (soon-ish). For now, it will definately be more then enough until the dx10 cards come out and drop in price (im a patient man)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance, but loud fan.

Pros: Handles most games at high settings.

Cons: Fan is really loud once you start a 3-d application.

Other Thoughts: The changes speeds depending on the application you are running. Most of the time its idle and not very loud. Once a 3-d app starts, the fan is really loud. It's louder than any other component in my system. The noise doesn't bother me during game playing because the sound effects of the game cover up the fan noise. What annoys me is that once you exit the game, the fan stays at high speed for at least 5 mintues before it slows down to a silent state. I going to replace the fan with a zalman to tone down the noise. No wonder they offer a rebate, the money you get back, can be used for an afternmarket fan.

5 out of 5 eggseVGA Card

Pros: Sweet card runs Fear, Oblivion with out a hitch (good duel core processor helps this out also) Will be taking advantage of the SLI in about month or so and purchase another from here NEW EGG ROCKS!! I did purchase the Zalman VF700 with it keeps temps at 55C reguardless what I am running. Without the fan I hit 72 C running Fear. Never put a fan like this on a card before and was pretty simple.

Cons: Runs a little to warm for my taste with stock fan while gaming.

Other Thoughts: Price to performance is decent and well worth it.
