5 out of 5 eggssweet but hot

Pros: This card is fast the best card for agp I have used besides the x 850 I have noticed things I have never noticed before on doom 3 and hl2 counter strike source not only that but I am beating the fps of a 6800 sli configeration of my friend I get 138 fps! on this bad boy in counter strike my friends sli only gets between 110 and 115 it is a sweet card that will hold me over till direct x 10 thank you new egg

Cons: it runs really hot I have been getting what seems to be heat realated crashes so I have purchased an arttic cooling silencer like the others suggested hopfully this with stop these crashes it happens when I play for hours or let it sit and download for hours I think it is because the vpu trys to reset then crashes due to heat issues but if what they others said is true I can eliminate the heat issue all together thus stoping these poorly timed crashes and saving me alot a grief but otherwise this product is sweet only wish they would put a better heatsink on stock

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!!!!!

Pros: I have a computer that I built nearly 3 years ago, so all I have is AGP for video. I bought this card just to see how it would handle today's games and was blown away at the fact that I can run BF2 and X3 on the max settings without any lag whatsoever.

Cons: Nothing so far.

Other Thoughts: If you're too broke to buy a new computer like me and enjoy a good game on occassion then this card is definitely a plus.

4 out of 5 eggsLast Hurrah for your AGP system

Pros: handles today's games well, and yesterday's games very well

Cons: price is a bit steep....50+ more than it's pci-e counterpart. it's huge! barely got it to fit in a 4 year old HP case, runs hot as heck, recommend an arctic cooling silencer to go with it

Other Thoughts: i'm quite satisfied, i've been putting along for some time with a radeon 9200, finally made the leap to a decent vid card, well worth it

3 out of 5 eggsX800 GTO AGP

Pros: Significant improvement of ATI 9800 PRO. 20-30 fps improvment on Track Mania. Lots of bang for the buck.

Cons: Was not near as stable as my 9800 pro or 9800 aiw genuine ATI cards. First one I recieved was DOA the second one is fine. Was getting a couple of VPU errors per day during the recent heat spell. Not overclocked. All different games. I recently installed Arctic Cooling Silencer ver5 no prob since.

Other Thoughts: They "manufacturers" need to stop punishing us in the wallet for not moving to PCI. Where are the X850 AGP cards?

5 out of 5 eggsOOO

Pros: This is a good card. It beats heck out of my old 9800PRO128mb. I can play BF2 and Battlefront 2 on high graphics @ 4x AA with no lag (on a good server) and LOTRBFME2 on ultra high settings with no lag.

Cons: HUGE. This card barely fits in my Abit NF7-s. Check measurments on this one and take into account the size of an aftermarket cooler if you go with one.

Other Thoughts: Does what i need it to do...

5 out of 5 eggsA Great Upgrade if your on a Budget

Pros: I bought this board after owning a Powercolor ATI 9600 Pro, and I couldn't be more impressed with the increase in performance. I'm running and AMD 3200+ XP, and 2 x 512MB PC 2700 RAM. The video card shows much increase in performance, and is not bottlenecking the rest of my system, suprisingly.
A great price, especially for those on a a budget. The video card can play most games at max settings, max resolutions, and flawlessly runs high-end games such as BF2 and Half-Life 2. For the avid gamer on a budget, I recommend this card.

Cons: The fan is a little loud, compared to my old 9600 board.. But that is due to its significant increase in size. I had no problems installing the card, but noticed that the card is a very long design. Before purchasing take note of this and decide if the length will not conflict with any other parts of your computer.
The instructions for installing the board are useless.. there brief and simply tell you to remove old and put in new. I had some trouble with the installation of drivers, and I would not recommend installing the 6.6 Catalyst drivers (most recent) but instead use the 6.3 Catalyst. They are much more stable, and my expeirence with them was much, much better.

Other Thoughts: I have a 310 Watt power supply and have not had any issues with this video card. Although I have heard that a 350 Watt is a good thing to have. 300 is recommended on the box.
