5 out of 5 eggsThe Best AGP Card

Pros: This is a great card. Probobly the best AGP and a great price. Im running counter strike source options all the way up 1280x1024 with only a gig of ram! the processor is a dual core 1.86, but CSS only uses 1 processor. Thats like running source on a 1.86Ghz, 1 Gig of ram s, and i never, ever get below 30 FPS, 200 FPS in some small maps!

Cons: i bought it when it was two hundred and its not the best overclocker, but overclockable still

Other Thoughts: Buy this card, it is so worth it. Plays all my games, runs Oblivion fine with options more than half way. if you have 2gb of ram and a 2.4GHz or better, go for options all the way up!! Get this card now!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Great inexpensive card, haven't seen any of the other customers problems at all. Pushes everything I've thrown at it flawlessley. 45-60 fps+ with all detail cranked.

Cons: Lackluster cooling. Does run a bit warm in my shuttle, but then again, airflow isn't great in there to begin with.

Other Thoughts: I bought this with no expectations of greatness, it's an inexpensive video card in the days of six hundred dollar monsters. I expected it to push the games I threw at it and it does. I find this to be a perfectly acceptable upgrade for the final push before dumping AGP systems all together.

2 out of 5 eggsTrouble out of the box

Pros: Plays games at high resolutions.

Cons: Lagged out completely when games became graphically intensive. ATI Tray Tools could not recognize the fan, no matter what I tried.

Other Thoughts: I was pretty happy when I got this card, seemed like a good deal for the price. Unfortunately, though it did play the games I wanted it to (namely FEAR and WoW), it just was completely lackluster for what it was supposed to be. When FEAR became graphically intensive (lots of shadows, big open spaces, etc.), the game would lag out down to 2-3 FPS, and World of Warcraft would lag out as well when I attempted to open the start menu to open another program. I tried uninstalling all the ATI software and installing the drivers from the website (do this if you buy this card, the included drivers are bad), but still to no avail. I'm returning this card and going with nVidia, I'm dissatisfied with this card and the ATI Catalyst Control Center. Hopefully nVidia is a little user-friendly towards the people without a lot of technical knowledge regarding video cards.

2 out of 5 eggsNot much to say

Pros: Can say to much for pros because I had too much trouble with the card

Cons: Card had a bad memory module. Also ccould not get it to work in 8x mode. I got red DOTs on the screen while trying to use the card. Also could not get teh card to operate with the drivers that came with it.

Other Thoughts: I'm going to RMA the product and hope for a better result when the new one arrives

4 out of 5 eggsReplacing a 9600 Pro

Pros: Easy to install, no fuzz and no software driver issues.

Cons: Didn't seem to improve graphics that much above my 9600 Pro

Other Thoughts: I think the issue of graphics and frame rate has more to do with overall computer performance (I own a 4-5 year 2GHz unit with a gig of ram) then the card itself. This is used as a replacement of my 9600 Pro card since I bought a larger 22" flatpanel monitor.
