3 out of 5 eggsDecent replacement part

Pros: Cheap, solid software package included.

Cons: Basic performance

Other Thoughts: This is standard replacement part for basic use. No problems and support software and drivers were good. Met expectations to replace the dead on board GPU.

5 out of 5 eggsNice card with composite out

Pros: Great card, plug and play....no drivers needed to be installed. I bought this for a old compaq computer that I use to stream video to my big screen. The S-Video / Composite Out were great features, I mainly bought the card due to the s-video out as I can hook it up to any old tv.

Cons: A bit pricey, considering only 128mb, but its getting hard to find this type of card in a PCI low profile format that has S-Video / Composite Out.

Other Thoughts: with most cards that have S-Video / Composite Out, you have to configure that feature with a standard computer monitor, then plug in the S-Video / Composite Out to your tv....this one will allow you to start the pc connected directly to your tv.

4 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: It works in a 10 year old HP running Windows 2000. Just download the drivers from nvidia's website. I was able to watch youtube videos on the computer again.

Cons: The only con is that I haven't bought a newer computer.

Other Thoughts: I bought this open box for $20 just because I wasn't expecting it to work. The desktop is on its last legs and I thought a simple upgrade would help and it did. It still runs slow but streaming videos has improved.
Just in case anyone was wondering, for disabling the onboard graphics, the Device Manager is found in the C: drive properties for Windows 2000. I'm used to Device Manager being in the control panel so it took a while to get this card to work.

1 out of 5 eggsNot the best

Pros: None

Cons: More then I can count, to start with when I first installed the card into my Windows XP it didn't want to accept the drivers. Once I got that cleared up the card was horrible, I wouldn't suggest trying to run any type of video or anything that requires even the littliest amount of graphics, if you do I hope that you have a good pair of glasses because the the graphics on the card are pathetic, it so blurry that it hurts to look at, at times, and it glitches like nothing I have ever seen before.

Other Thoughts: Go with a:
ASUS ENGTX570 DCII/2DIS/1280MD5 GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

or a 580 series that will get you where you want to go in a nice smooth fashion!!!

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: nothing...

Cons: Supposed to be plug-n-play on Windows XP......Followed instructions then Windows would not boot.....It's old technology but come on.....tried disabling on-board video card and same thing.....waste of me and customers time...this was the second PCI that was supposed to be plug and play from newegg that did not work........not happy with newegg....

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Good for watching videos online or elsewhere.

Cons: Did not perform as specified. Box said support for vertex and pixel shading, but supports neither one of these.

Other Thoughts: My Intel 845G integrated graphics performed far better then this card and it's an almost seven year old computer. Don't buy this card unless you want to watch web videos.
