3 out of 5 eggsThe Picture Dudes

Pros: None

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Obviously many of you are not looking on the picture, just the price... It is not a 9800 pro... it is a 9800se... look on the memory chips... 256 bit cards use faster mem chips (the little square ones) those are regular ddr chips... Appollo is not a bad brand... so dont blame them... and if they are misadvertising... thats another story that newegg will deal with them...

I wont say that the product is poor or great just that it is a plain ol 9800SE...

1 out of 5 eggsNot a 9800PRO!!!

Pros: Came in a nice box.

Cons: It's not actually a 9800Pro - this is the *much* slower 9800SE card. Only 4 rendering pipelines, and only 128bit RAM. It's a little under half the speed of a 9800Pro.

Other Thoughts: Waiting to see if Newegg will send out a replacement/refund.

Pros: cant tell ya any havent been able to use card like everyone else who got this card, it has 9800 se bios NOT 9800 PRO,

Cons: FACTORY REP SAID THEY WERE WRONG BIOS FROM FACTORY, JUST FLASH NEW BIOS AND CARD WILL BE FINE
WHAT BIOS???? apollo does not have the bios or even the info for the correct bios, they have ignored my request for the link to the bios becuase you cant get them online, they offered to have me send send the card to tiawan or flash them my self
which would be fine if thwey had something to flash, then they said they would post them on thier website on the weekend of the 12 th still waiting, apollo CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS THE WORSE I EVER DEALT WITH 8 EMAILS 5 PHONE CALLS IN 4 DAYS AND NO REPLY, DONT DEAL WITH APOLLO

4 out of 5 eggsFull Review

Pros: Quiet Fan, 8 Lines unlockable, Easily Overclockable, stable from what I've seen thus far...

Cons: terrible cooling solution, takes awhile to "warm up" during 3d processing (usually about 6 minutes before the FPS become stable... Perhaps this is caused by other variables within my system), it is only 128 bit and the most frustrating of them all is the fact that TV output is B&W, I've tried overscan and everything else noted on practically every forum addressing this issue, I believe it is a hardware defect, and the kicker is that there's no VGA/DVI included...

Other Thoughts: last two reviews still stand, great price, flexible... yet the cons outweigh the pros dramatically.. but i've had the hardware for a week with not one issue... installed easily on my debian system, have tried dual monitor output due to the jipping of the adapter... i will update my review if it is neccessary... and newegg please change the info on this product, it is falsefully advertised

5 out of 5 eggsreviewed

Pros: still a good card for the price

Cons: a few

Other Thoughts: ok I've unlocked the 8 lines but i've noticed it is only 128 bit unlike the 256 which is display, newegg you really have to review this product, plug it into a system once and see for yourself, basically all the info displayed in the description is incorrect.

4 out of 5 eggsGetting what you paid for

Pros: good performance for the price

Cons: can be seen in the picture (terrible cooling solution), and Identifies as an SE with only four pipes

Other Thoughts: ok first of all, this card is so-so... it does identify itself as an SE but i've overclocked to 400/234... any one digit above or below this setting shows artifacts. Also, somebody who owns this card please tell me how to unlock the 8 pipelines (default is 4). Also, the DVI/VGA Adaptor shown above was not included. as for the fan/sink... well just look at it and it will explain itself... cools GPU but nothing else, and yes this card can cook eggs, I added pci fans and everything is all well on the cooling front, the gpu fan is quiet, significantly quieter than my previous 5500 OC and both 3d&2d performance has made this card well worth the investment.

2 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Comments: All in all, this is a rather poor card. The cooling system is inadequate. The card identifies itself as a 9800 SE. In 3dMark 2001 SE, I can barely get 2000 more 3dMarks than my MSI GeForce FX5200, and it will not make it through a run of 3dMark '03.
