5 out of 5 eggs#1 Gaming Video Card

Pros: - Installation is very simple
- No major problems
- Maxed out on all my games here are some recent game titles I have played: Medieval 2 Total War, Battlefield 2142, Battlefield 2, Need for Speed Carbon, Comapny of Heroes, and etc. (All maxed out settings with high FPS!)
- Add a waterblock (liquid cooling) to this and you are ready to game!
- Recommend a 850w power supply like Enermax or higher which is the one I am using.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I finished building my gaming machine about a month ago and I bought my case and cooling equipment all from the Koolance company which I highly recommend. My specs are x6800 Extreme Edition Core 2 DUO with two 7950gGX2(x2 SLI) I did not have any regrets about not waiting for the 8800GTX. One thing is that there is no current waterblock available yet and the other thing was that I heard overclocking wasn't spactacular on the 8800GTX either. I just don't see why you would want to spend much more for a little performance increase by not a huge margin. Conclusion: If you are stuck in deciding which card to get between the 7950GX2 and 8800GTX, I would highly recommend this card since it is much cheaper, waterblocks are currently available for this video card, and it should play all your games maxed out easily.
Note:If you buy two of these, make sure you have an SLI motherboard ready. I am using the P5N32-SLI Premium and I had enough room for both of my videos cards(7950GX2,sound card, etc.

5 out of 5 eggsJust Amazing

Pros: Excellent for Mobo's with one PCI-E x16 slot, single connector from power supply, excellent graphics.

Cons: Hope that someday they will make the cards shorter. Even though this is a little smaller than my old 7800GTX.

5 out of 5 eggsHold on to it

Pros: I have had this for many months and one of the first things I did was get a waterblock for it from Danger Den. This is one fast video card and the overclocking abilities expecially on water are amazing.

Cons: Big better have lots of room in your case.

Other Thoughts: One thing I have noticed with the new 8800GTX cards is they never compared them over clocked with an over clocked 7950GX2. Granted the new NVIDIA video cards are nice and plenty fast but I really wonder how much influence the manufactures have on the tests being conducted. So for now I can't see letting go a 7950GX2, water cooled video card that over clocks like crazy for something that might be a bit faster but runs much hotter and costs so much.

5 out of 5 eggsIts Fast.

Pros: Very fast, easily overclockable to 590Mhz core, 775Mhz ram! This game handles FEAR on 1600x1200 at FULL settings, and never dips below 40-50 FPS and averages over 100! Half life 2? lol 300+

Cons: its big.

Other Thoughts: With a big desk fan blowing into my computer case, this card never goes above 60C even while overclocked... this is GREAT since the slowdown temp is 120C

5 out of 5 eggsThe best of the best

Pros: Renders any game in high, full range of settings. I bought this so I could build another rig and put my XFX 7900GT in it and sell it.

Cons: The card is just simply massive and consumes a lot of power. The biggest con here being the size. On my DFI board, the chipset fan disallows me from seating this card properly. A lot of boards have fans right there, though. It also gets extremely hot. nVidia's temp monitor reports 60-70 degrees celsius. I will tell you that a water block does exist for this card, but I can't say who sells it. ;)

Other Thoughts: DX10 is overrated. Don't buy into it until it counts.

5 out of 5 eggsPlasma Cutter?

Pros: All the other reviews are correct. Stunning performance in a single slot solution. A must have for all micro-ATX builds.

Cons: Heat. Idles at 63C in an airconditioned envyroment. Peaks at around 84C under full benchmarking load. I highly reccomend a liquid cooled solution for this card.

Other Thoughts: Benchmarks slighly slower than 2 7950 GTX's in SLI.
I found the number of fins per inch on the heatsink inadeuate, it looks like a play heatsink. No copper to be seen either. Really disapointing.

4 out of 5 eggsTwo bad cards in a row

Pros: When I finally received a working card, it absolutely was stunning. I maxed the settings on every game I play and it ran flawlessly. BF2,BF2142,Red Orchestra,HoMaM5,Company of Heroes

Cons: It is quite a large card, since I now just added another one to run quad sli it takes up a lot of room. It can run hot and under intense graphics can be a little loud for some people.

Other Thoughts: Two bad cards in a row. First one started producing artifacts after using it for a month and the second one I bought froze up upon 3d environments.

Newegg was very quick on the turnaround for my RMA'd items.

3 out of 5 eggsHas potential

Pros: This card has a lot of potential. When the card worked, it blazed through everything I could throw at it. EQ@ and Doom 3 all rocked with this rig.

Cons: Decided to go with a fresh Windows install when this card was installed. Right away, I noticed problems, such as the desktop not showing up for more than a minute after it should be. Also, EQ2 and Doom 3 would often freeze before I could even get playing.

Other Thoughts: I spoke with XFX tech support, and they had me run tests to confirm that the card was bad. They also had me update all drivers to rule out the possibility of faulty drivers perhaps, and all checked out, as well as my current rig (4800 Dual Core, 2 GB Corsair Memory 650 Watt PS, K8N Neo4 SLI, Sound Blaster X-Fi, 4 SATA Raptor Drives in RAID). Will await a return from RMA to post further results.
