GeForce is committed to ongoing development of their GPUs, and XFX spends a lot of their time keeping up with GeForce’s evolution. With the XFX GeForce 6800XT card for the AGP 8x interface, ready for SLI, with a 350MHz core clockspeed, you get lively graphics in full resolution. The 8 pixel pipelines deliver every pixel to your screen with excellent frame rates in natural color and stunning clarity.

The onboard memory provides bandwidth to spare for serious rendering systems to hit your face with multi-texture graphics, and the D9x and OGL 2 instructions decoders give you exquisite effects on the dual monitors which are supported by the dual 400MHz RAMDACs running at superlative resolution.

When your thumbs and wrists are tired, this versatile board supports many movie compression formats in hardware, letting you watch DVD movies without overloading your GPU. The bundled connectors, HDTV dongle, and other systems permit output to other digital devices. This is a great value in a video card to help you extend the life of your AGP platform motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for the price

Pros: Excellent AGP card for the money. Performs like a champ for the games I have, which include Everquest, Rome Total War, CS, Simcity 4, Doom 3. Have nearly all the settings at max with no lag. This is truly an impressive card at a low price.

Cons: This does say 500W power supply required, more than most moderate computers will have coming out of a box. Fairly large card, but that will only effect those with mini-towers and other small cases. In my full tower this was not an issue.

Other Thoughts: I'm running it off a 350W power supply at the moment with no issues. I will continue to do so for a bit, just to see if there will be an issue with power, but then I plan on upgrading my PSU so I can overclock this and see what I can squeeze out of it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Best video card i have used so far.

Cons: As what everyone else is saying its a big card.

Other Thoughts: I play WOW and i would recommend this card to anyone playing wow. I watch people in my raid go on and offline all the time while we are in NAXX and BWL when fighting mulitple mobs.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing video card for AGP 8x

Pros: Freggin love it. Its a great upgrade from my XGI Volari V5 (ugh)

Never gets hot, easy to use, and runs counter strike source on max settings at 80 fps and above.

Cons: Quite a large video card, almost touches the back of my hard drive, but fits.

Other Thoughts: I need to get a motherboard with PCI Express......

5 out of 5 eggsgreat upgrade

Pros: Excellent replacement for my mx 440. Works great w/ CS: Source. 76fps on high detail settings!

Cons: Big compared to the 440. Sits uncomfortably close to ram slots.

Other Thoughts: Well worth the buy!

3 out of 5 eggsErrm...not what I expected.

Pros: Decent for the money, like they say "You get what you pay for", that is definately true with this card. It
increased performance a little in Bf2, and F.E.A.R, went from Low on Bf2 to some medium, with 800x600. On fear maxed graphics.

Cons: Didn't really increased frames in games, maybe about 10 frames from my ATI Radeon 9550. If you are going to get this card, don't be suprised if you don't see a huge performance because I surely didn't

Other Thoughts: My system at the time: AMD Athlon 2800+, 1 Gig of ram, XFX Geforce 6800 XT.

I think what my problem was that there was some bottleneck in my system somewhere that I couldn't figure out. But overall, this card is ok, but wont' max every game out, and that is for sure.

5 out of 5 eggsOH MY Smeg

Pros: I havent even received the card yet, im sure it's worth the money...for an aging AGP technology, but I bought a MOBO/CPU combo. from newegg, that works great, just needs an AGP card to better push Star Wars Battle front 2-somewhat better than it does, and I notice NewEgg now has package tracking on its website. That freaking rocks!.

Cons: I probably didnt need the card, but I'm teaching my son a valuable lesson: If you want to be a geek, Buy it when you THINK you need it, and when you actually DO need it, you'll already have it. I really want to be credited with that quote....unless somone else said it first.

Other Thoughts: Newegg, thanks for the progressive actions, Integrating shipping tracking onto your site proves your techno savvy mettle. You, of course, Rock!

3 out of 5 eggsPuzzled

Pros: It runs fast, great resolution on a 2.2GHz processor- good FPS

Cons: I bought this card a few weeks ago, and I'm a little puzzled. It runs smooth, great resolution... but I get quite a few strange artifacts across the map of whichever game I'm playing. HL2 games arent so bad, but when I play BF2, there are black lines running across the map like a mad-man. I'm trying to figure out whats wrong, and I'll put another review up if i figure it out, just in case someone is having the same problem- p.s.- ive already looked at all the settings in the driver... >.< tried both XFX and nVidia drivers.

Other Thoughts: WHY!

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING CARD!!!

Pros: this things a beast. i never realized how laggy my games were till i got this. my games run flawlessly now. its so ridiculous, greatest card for the money.

Cons: cons are i found it cheaper on a different site. but i <3 newegg, so i wanted to let you know its great.

Other Thoughts: definatly buy it. the few $$ it is more here, i would have rather bought it here, because newegg has amazing shipping, and the other place took forever for it to get here :(
