Here's a video card for the gamer, engineer or artist with exacting standards. Using a GeForce 7900GS processor clocked at 525 MHz with 20 pixel pipelines, 256 MB GDDR3 memory (with a memory bandwidth of 42.2Gb/s); you're not talking "slow display" here!
It has two DVI connectors (with an adapter so it can be used on VGA-style monitors), and an integrated TV encoder putting out HDTV or S-Video. SLI-ready (so make certain your power supply can handle it!), it features PCI Express support to keep up with that fast GPU, it's Vista ready and can display a resolution of 2560 x 1600.
The next generation of games and hi-res applications is here already, so update to a card that knows how to talk to them.

Great Economy SLI
- Pros: Wow, first SLI set up and I fell into these babys. Price vs. Performance on this or these cards is top of the chart. I was thinking of getting the next step up and spend twice the cash but thought, two of these for the price of one, would equal higher performance, and I was right! These are amazing in SLI you just cant get a better setup for the price. If you have a fixed budget get this card and then buy the second one and you have a top of the line SLI for a very small price.
- Cons: None so far, other then had to wait 24hrs for them to get here! I wish Newegg had a shop in every town! However from time of order, to my doorstep, was only 24hs and I do live in the boonies! I like the silent coolers on the 7950's better, but I like the price and wouldnt want to pay an extra fifty bucks for it! Still, they need better memory cooling on these, I added ramsinks for six bucks more!
- Other Thoughts: OK, first let me say, Im an ATI fanboy and always have been! With the 2 failed Crossfire attempts I have had and the faulty 3200 Boards out today, I final made the jump to SLI! Its hard to even say that with a strait face. I am very impressed with these cards, the price VS. performance ratio is amazing. Stock speeds, just under ATI's top X1000 series and still able to get two for the same price as one ATI, WOW! You just cant beat this for an SLI setup! Well I guess you can but double the money! Get this card, heck get two of them and your golden.
This card DOES support 1440x900
- Pros: This card has been excellent for me. I am running dual monitors, one at 1440x900 and the other at 1024x768. Games all run smoothly.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: The guy saying that the card does not support 1440x900 is wrong.
Uninstall all your previous graphics drivers, then install the latest nvidia drivers. I had the same problems and I could not set the resolution to 1440x900 until I uninstalled all the previous drivers.

Wonderful Card
- Pros: Very fast - not on par with some of the really high end 8800s, but you can't beat the price. Besides, I can play Oblivion, Gothic 3, Doom 3, Tiberium Wars and any other game I throw at it at max resolution with about 40-60 FPS average. Also very quiet.
- Cons: If you overclock this guy make sure you have a good cooling system. I think it's made to overclock but I'm not messing with it b/c my temp started getting a bit hot.
Best 7-series card for the money.
- Pros: Takes anything you can throw at it; Couter-Strike: Source, Battlefield 2142, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter, all at 1440x900 at the highest detail settings. Truly excellent.
- Cons: Sometimes 256MB of RAM just isn't enough, no matter how fast it is. Fan's a bit loud when stressed, but that's nitpicking.
- Other Thoughts: Overclocks extremely well, hence the name. Can't wait to see how it does in SLI. Always buy from Newegg.
mis-leading rebate offer
- Pros: I'm happy with the card, works great! I'll be more careful when ordering online.
- Cons: Read the fine print, I thought I was buying the card with a $30.00 rebate...I bought it 2 weeks b4 the offer period and XFX wont give it to me.
- Other Thoughts: XFX; dont advertise a rebate prior to the offer period, its deceptive/mis-leading!
