5 out of 5 eggsWow, what a card!

Pros: Quality, preformance, looks, value and everything else make this a tough card to beat! Very fast, very quiet, very stable!!! And man does this card make working with video and graphics a breeze! So far so great!

Cons: What cons, we don't need no stinking cons!

Other Thoughts: XFX has been impressing me a little more with each of thier products i use. I have used two 8600gt, one 8600 gts and one 8800 gt, all in various setups and machines. The 8800 tends to run a little warm, the others all are as good as i have used... Why take a chance, get an XFX and be sure!

Newegg rules over all computer stores on and off line!!!

4 out of 5 eggsMixed Feelings

Pros: Good price (with generous rebate) for the performance. Really improved gaming and video over my old 7600 GT AGP system. But then again, I went from 1.8 to 3.2 ghz & doubled the RAM too.

Cons: I was very pleased until I decided to get a second one for SLI gaming. Gaming performance only improved marginally in certain games and actually got worse in others (UT III, for example). Could be that ASUS M2N-SLIDeluxe is to blame since the SLI mode only runs at 8X, while single mode runs at 16X. Should'a read the whole manual before buying!

Other Thoughts: Rebate won't come unless you email an inquiry. I'm still waiting for the second rebate.

5 out of 5 eggsGood stuff

Pros: I am currently running this card in SLi and have been contemplating upgrading heres why i haven't:
-Runs COD4 with High settigns except AA and AF
-Runs Crysis on Medium
-Runs Everything else on high

Cons: I bought this when the 8 series of cards first came out, my first card cost 200 the second 150 and now its 100

Other Thoughts: excellent card for a cheap build runs great in SLI

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good card

Pros: Produces frame rates similar to the 7900GS it replaced. DX10 capable and a decent amount of RAM.

Cons: Expensive when I bought it several months ago at $179. Does not have all solid capacitors on the card (some are soft-capped). The fan/heatsink metal is what appears to be aluminum. For the money I would expect copper heatsink and solid capacitors throughout.

Other Thoughts: The fact that this card to another year newer than the 7900GS card you would think it's newer and would be measurable amount faster than the old card. Not really been the case at all here. I thought the whole idea of making a new card is to improve over the old models and make them better/faster.............

5 out of 5 eggsgood mid to high end card

Pros: Overclocks well, I can run Gears of war at 1650x1050 on my 22" widescreen, through the dvi at the highest settings and it runs near flawless. Mine will over clock past 700Mhz rock solid stable. Ran gears for 9 hours straight with no artifacts. Fan even at top speed is not annoying and keeps my card below 52 degrees under load.

Cons: I'll let you know when if I ever find one.

Other Thoughts: ECS C19 Sli, 2GB PNY Optima dual channel, Prescott 2.8Ghz single core OC'd to 3.2Ghz, 2x 36GB raptors in raid 0, Video card core OC'd to 700Mhz and memory to 1020.

5 out of 5 eggs2 out of 3

Pros: Great Card, fast GPU. Renders well with architechtural programs

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: This was the second time we've ordered 3 cards to upgrade machines and 1 of the 3 sent did not work. Newegg is great on RMA's (about a week) though !!!

5 out of 5 eggsNice card for price.. Read my details!

Pros: This has been a stable card for me so far, ive owned it for about 3 months. I play COD4 smoothly on high settings except for AA and AF. The graphics look great on all the games i play, and in F.E.A.R.'s framerate test i get lowsest FR as 34, highest is about 100, and the average is around 65. I read that some peoples cards run hot, i have had no probelms with this.. My card runs at about 75 - 85 degrees Celcius, which i believe is about avg card temp. and safe. These temps are after overclocking too.

Cons: For the price, i dont really have any complaints about this card.

Other Thoughts: If you are a serious gamer and like to play the newer First person shooters, you probably will want to spend a little more and go with the 8800 model, as you will have the higher framerate advantage.. But like I said i play COD4 with NO problems on high with this one.

I currently have mine overclocked with R.ivaT.uner (wouldnt let me post the program name without the periods) at 756 core clock, 1623 shader, and 1156 for the memory. Tested for artifacts with ATITool. This is about the highest stable OC settings for me. I can see the difference. I hope this helps!

4 out of 5 eggsFOR HTPC

Pros: Nice and short, fits nicely in cramped/small HTPC case. Built beautifully - very sturdy. Does HD processing onboard, to lighten the load on your CPU. I was looking for a card like this specifically, and it works as advertised. Using the onboard video (mobo), I was getting at least 1 BSOD every 24 hours. Now I don't get any. (Blu-Ray and HD DVD playback, and video encoding). Definitely doing as advertised.

Cons: Fan is rather loud; in small rooms this may be unacceptable. For HTPC application, this is the perfect card - after rebate around $100. I wouldn't recommend for high-end gaming. (For my gaming rig(s) I only go with the best / most-expensive at the time).

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a card that is shorter than the high-end monsters, and your rig won't be for high-end gaming, I do not believe a card is on the market that will outperform this card for only $100 (after rebate). NOTE: had to install and use the drivers from their provided cd and/or website. Trying to install the latest offering from Nvidia's website resulted in very bad BSOD's. This is the first time I have ever experienced this with an NVidia card. Something OEM is in the works here. Again, for HTPC that is ok; but for gaming I think this wouldn't be acceptible.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: This is a great card in every way, I had it running Unreal Tournament 2004 Full res Full everything at 200 fps average. I ran the crysis demo at 20-30 fps on medium graphics, which is pretty good considering that an 880 can barely run it on high.

Cons: The disc it comes with only has DirectX 9 and the drivers are out of date.

Other Thoughts: Works good with XFX 680I lt mobo
