I received a used card

Pros: I ordered this card in Dec of last year and before that the write ups were Very Good and I was Impressed on what I had read.

Cons: The card that I received had many, many scratches on both sides of it, the WinDVD 4 cd was not in the box and the heatsink was aluminum in color, Not the Gold Color As Advertixed. Newegg refused to replace the used card with a New one and after a couple of contacts with them, they refunded my return shipping on the card ~ though they Did Not refund my original shipping cost of this Used Card unto me.

Other Thoughts: I then ordered the Same 9600XT ATI chip on another mfg's card and it Works VERY WELL INDEED. I will Never purchase another JetWay product again.

False Advertising

Pros: 256MB RAM, 8x/4x AGP compatibility

Cons: Listed at 500mhz core clock actually clocked at 406mhz
RAM clock listed at 600mhz actually clocked at 229mhz.

Newegg shipped in reasonable time with no damage.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card because of the price and the fact that I have great experience with ATI cards and specifically have used several 9600XT's before. This card (although not built by ATI i figured powered by ATI couldnt be ALL that much worse) is falsely advertised as having a 500mhz core and 600mhz ram. It does not perform nearly as well as a realy 9600XT so dont be fooled by the cheap price and the 256MB ram. I am awating a refund from newegg

ATI = DOA

Pros: None!

Cons: Card arrived DOA. It worked for all of about 3-4 minutes and then went NUTS! Started drawing lines all across the screen - cursor multiplied itself about 20-fold and there was no way to remove the drivers from this card so I could put back in an older 64MB card from ATI - which then didn't work either. Had to switch to a very old 32MB Nvidia card until I could get my RMA refund and buy a new card locally.

Other Thoughts: I'll never buy another ATI card as long as I live. The moment I bought my new MSI FX5500 it worked like a charm! I don't blame Newegg - I blame ATI. Many friends have had similar issues.
