His 4890 1gb
- Pros: I bought 2 of these cards will be getting 2 more in a few weeks to have a total of 4 crossfire x.. Very fast card runs great with Crysis and Bioshock. No flickering at very high settings...
- Cons: Runs a little hot at 40c with fan running at 40%.. But the 4870 ran just the same..
Phenomenal Card
- Pros: Ive had this card around 2 weeks now and am simply amazed but its performance. Its currently running OC'd at 900mhz with the memory clock set at 100mhz. This card is hands down worth the money. Now all I need is a beefier power supply and well keep her at 1000mhz.
- Cons: Doesnt make me breakfast
- Other Thoughts: Card is worth every penny. Always knew you get what you paid for, and in this case you actually get more than what you paid for. If you think about it you can OC this card to stock speeds of $3oo cards, atleast. I suggest this card to everyone, one great upgrade from my Nvidia 6800xt. hahah, never going back to Nvidia now

Gamer or not
- Pros: This card is so powerful that it required extra watts 2 P.C 6pin and 8 pin (8Pin is 2x the power of a HDD)
anyways so far so good but i had to make my own Bios configuration changing the bios for Fan because this cards runs at 60C Idle and thats about 20-25% fan speed i mean cmon? you can have a card runnig for months w.o shut down on 80% fan speed so the bios i made it like 30c-45c 38% fan speed getting 37C-41C(depends on area Temp) when it goes higher than 45c Fan increase 3% per 5C never reached a Temp of 65+ even after HOurs of playing Crysis Warhead at ULTRA High settings but the thing is HIS and other companies prefer to sell cards with no noise at all so they make the fan runs as low as posible but always havinga a Temp belo 60C ( if you let that Bios on this card when you playing a game or doing some Work you will get over 75C and thats not good at all considering some cpu shut down after 60C but this is GPU anyway BUY THIS CARD :)
- Cons: waiting the bill also the card is too big not recomended if you having Micro ATX if you have a Full size then this is allllllLLLLlllLLLlll you need for 1-3 years
Honestly none important.
- Other Thoughts: the card is heavy and nice designed pretty hot and hot Temp when running games :P
Missing HDTV S-VIDEO Cable
- Pros: PCI Express 2.0 x16, 1Gig GDDR5, Crossfire
- Cons: Runs pretty hot
- Other Thoughts: HIS has changed the packaging and Newegg has not updated their description. I did not receive the HDTV S-Video cable with my product even though it match the correct part number that I ordered. I looked at the HIS website and sure enough, this card does not include the cable, so if you intend to connect this to a projector or television using Component connections, you'll have to order the cable separately and from another source, as Newegg does not carry it.

Manufacturer Response:Dear Customer, Thank you for your notification. Please be informed the HIS 4890 models does not come with the HDTV to S-Video cable and S-Video to Composite Adapter. We will have Newegg update the bundling information accordingly. Besides, you can order it from Newegg in these links: HIS S-Video to HDTV Cable Model HHDTVC4085 - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814999019&Tpk=his%20hdtv%20cable HIS S-Video to Composite Adapter Model HSVCA4082 - Retail http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814999016 Best regards, HIS Customer Support
AWESOME, but then not
- Pros: This card is a monster. Even at default settings it will tear through any game on the market. OC this card with the software it comes with and it'll not the socks off any other card you can get for the price (even more expensive ones).
- Cons: I ran this card at default settings, everything as it was from the manufacturer. I only play WoW and L4D mostly, so I didn't need to juice this card up. After 2 months it burned out, becoming completely useless. I come to turn my comp on one day and the fan just goes nuts at 100% speed and I smell burning. Took it out and it reeked of burnt circuits. Couldn't see any burn marks, but then 75% of the board is covered by the huge heat sink/fan.
- Other Thoughts: My experience may just be a fluke, but it's something to think about. When you get a card that is this insane, you can expect that something will go wrong within it's lifetime. Hopefully for you it happens while it's still under warranty, either that or when you're already in the market to buy a new card years down the road.
