Hey Works For Me
- Pros: Well first of all, it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. Second of all, its a BIG upgrade performance wise from my MSI 128MB, by the way MSI rules! Also, when i installed the drivers it worked even better.
- Cons: None that come to mind. EXCELLENT VID CARD!
- Other Thoughts: Not everything works for everyone, don't always judge a product completely on what other people say about it. Everything i have bought from newegg has worked for me flawlessly, because i research, understand how something works and compatibility issues. Don't buy something because it's cheap or someone else recommends it, buy it cause YOU KNOW IT WILL WORK!
- Pros: price
- Cons: slow
- Other Thoughts: This card has a a memory clock of 250 mhz and an engine clock of 280 mhz and has 4 pixel pipelines. This card is okay for mild gaming nothing more, it plays CS source and day of defeat source well on middle settings getting around 30fps.
XGI Volari V8 256MB
- Pros: None I wish I could use bad language! Well in all fairness I have to say New Egg you "ROCK!"
- Cons: Would never run on my motherboard faster than 2X speed due to my Via chipset. Customer service at XGI is horrible. In wifes computer with SIS chipset ran at 8X but quality even surfing the net and playing cards was bad.Decided to put it in the circular filing cabinet!
- Other Thoughts: Buy a Nvidia card and make sure it has a fan they get hot if they don't have one on them.My old Nvidia 32MB TNT2 card would perform better than this card any day.
