Pros: Bought this card to satisfy my need for gaming while waiting for other card prices to lower (hopefully).
Thus far, however, I enjoy the card so much I may never replace it. Runs extremely silent, easy to install, and the added benefit of having reduced power consumption is a major plus. As I only have a 300~ watt power supply this card helped save money on having to get a new PSU as well!

Cons: I haven't run into a single problem yet, in fact my onboard card had the most problems.

Other Thoughts: For just starting back into the business S3(VIA) is making a great start. I'm not too picky on detail in games and I can easily play Counter-Strike:Source at 1024x768 with default settings (both in-game and card drivers) at a good 40~60fps, even on 36 man servers. If you're looking for a low-cost card with solid performance, this is definately the card you're looking for.

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: With 2 s27s (256Mb each) on an intel 975XBX and a 920D, I get average benchmark scores. All games I have thrown at it run without problems.

Cons: In terms of problems..... I installed the 151805m drivers and finally got Oblivion to run proper.

Other Thoughts: These cards need good driver support or s3 will be back to where they were with the Savage 2000. Yet they are working on compatibility with Windows Vista.

Pros: This card smokes. The video playback blows ati/nvidia out of the water. Can play any game i put it up against for example: Quake 4 max settings, COD 2 Dx9 max settings Farcry max settings. What else can you ask for. Oh and the heat pipe cooler on this thing rocks.
