Good Card Bad Remote
- Pros: Excellent Card, Great Price
- Cons: Came with the Firefly mini, a cheaper, smaller rf remote instead of the pictured normal Firefly.
Great Card
- Pros: Excellent tv tuner card. Replaced a Hauppauge card with this one and it blows it away. The video and audio reception comes in just as clear as on my television. Installation was a breeze. totally recommend this card.
- Cons: none.
- Other Thoughts: the remote is kind of bulky but it serves its purpose and is very functional. plus it's RF.
Great Product - Software so-so.
- Pros: I did a lot of research on TV tuners, and this is the best one I could find for a good price. I was pleased by its performance.
On-screen viewing is decent, so long as the window is kept relatively small. This is just a factor of how computer monitors process television resolution pictures. This baby Really shines, though, when you dump that video to DVD to view on my TV. I hadn't even saved at the highest quality, but 'good' looked better than anything my TV or DVD recorder tuners manage to do.
- Cons: The software can be a bit of a pain. I'm still trying to figure out how to change the default video directory... someone else has said it's in the web interface.
I've chosen not to pay the monthly cost for BeyondTV, but it still allows me to manually schedule programs. That's fine with me.
- Other Thoughts: I need more hard drive space :)
