The Leadtek Winfast HDTV Cinema card conveniently splits the inputs into ATSC/NTSC antenna and cable/QAM so you only need to have one connection to view you analog and digital cable signals. There is also an S-Video in port for digital cameras, camcorders, VCRs, game consoles and DVD players. An adapter is provided if you need to send a composite signal. The single cable solution also carries the audio signals.
PVR software lets you record and pause live TV or record a program to watch later. You can also search the electronic program guide and schedule recordings for when you'll be out of the house. That way you don't miss any of your favorite shows. And with the large size of hard drives in today's computers you can record a lot more than with a standard set top box, and there are no monthly fees.
Once you've recorded your shows, or transferred them from other media you can edit them and burn them onto DVD or VCD. You can also save the files in PSP or iPod format for ultra portable entertainment.

Great Card if Setup Right
- Pros: Beautiful picture and from an operating standpoint, it blew my fairly new Name brand Do-it-All video card away. The buyer does need to know about installing video capture cards in general to set it up correctly. Buyers also need to realize that most digital cable QAM output is not sent as a "clear" signal. The included drivers are way better than the junk that was available for my Do-it-All card. I'm impressed, since these Leadtek drivers are still in their early release stage. The included video editing and DVD burning software is pretty good too, once you figure out how to use it. I don’t know about MCE compatibility but I do know they have a new patch that is supposed to fix any problems that owners have reported.
- Cons: Poor documentation on setup and software use is my only complaint. After seeing all the bad reviews, I suspect some of the users failed to unhook from the internet and turn off their antivirus, firewalls, and everything else running in the background before installing the drivers and software. I would advise doing that for any video capture card installation. This card probably needs to have a good signal to provide the best picture but my TV had mediocre cable reception too, until I installed a powered amplifier/splitter.
- Other Thoughts: Leadtek email technical support is top notch. They are very friendly and I got a response in minutes when I sent an inquiry at night (daytime in Tiawan). This is a huge difference from the sort of help you get from most PC component manufacturers. The minor display problem I had with the HD output on my wide screen second monitor had to do with my video card settings and not my capture card.

- Other Thoughts: i have had 5 different tuners in the past year. this has the best software and remote plus gets HD over cable. THE BEST!!!!!!!

- Other Thoughts: Turn out you don't need the program ORB to use the remote. The real problem is with the driver you are using go to Leadtek site to help you to direct the proper driver that use your specific remote.
Good Product, But need a little work
- Pros: The device works like it suppose too. If you don't have a roof top antenna or cable then this card is pretty much not gonna so you what it can do. The setup of the software can be found at Leadtek site.
- Cons: Lack of additional instruction for people who are not tech savvy such as what program is need for the remote.(it turn out ORB is the program name in the CD that came with the retail package also downloadable).
- Other Thoughts: only gave it three eggs because the lack of user guideline and friendliness.
