Pros: This is a great HD tuner. it is a great price. can't beat usb for plug 'n' play'ability. just plugged it in, installed the drivers, hooked up a cable line, and BAM! all the channels you could wish for. i get all the anologue channels that i get on my TV, as well as all the Digital channels that i get on my TV, and as a great bonus i get about 12 or so HD channels that are over the air, like your network channels and FOX and WB and so on.

for this price, you can't beat this tuner. GREAT TUNER
don't hesitate to choose this one.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: it is true that you have to buy the right to record into DIVX.

Pros: This TV tuner is awesome. It picks up every channel available. Even those secret free HDTV ones that come with normal Comcast cable. That was the reason I got it. The recording quality seems great.

Cons: Recording in Divx costs extra. But I'm gonna try downloading a Divx encoder.

great tuner

Pros: Sensitive OA tuner.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Had a Pinnacle tuner burned by Lightning. Tried Hauppage and Asus tuners but could not get all the local channels until I got another Pinnacle. Happy now.

Who was the idiot who made the antenna

Pros: Easy set up for windows 7, works great with MCE vista and 7
clearqam works with mce after little tinkering. good picture. the cd installed the mce drivers by it self no extra software, user choice.

Cons: the Antenna, who was the moron who got an idea to give the antenna a magnetic bottom that thing is so powerful I am scared to have it in my laptop bag. the device overheats little bit enough to cause it to disable from laptop as a device but it only happened once so far.

Other Thoughts: 3 day shipping is code for overnight.

Nifty Little External TV Turner

Pros: I admit I haven't had this device very long, but I've used it enough to know that I'll be happy with it. It installs and configures very easily on Win XP. At the end of the installation, a wizard walks you through setting up your software and hardware for first time use. The software has a recording scheduler that lets you set multiple recording times during the day or across multiple dates. You can record in DVD Long Play or regular DVD quality but the output always goes to an mpg file when saving to the hard drive. Once there, you will have to encode the mpg file if you want to burn a dvd. Another recording option, is to burn directly to a dvd as your record which I haven't tried yet. You can record up to 3 hours or so in Long Play dvd format and fit it all onto a single 4.7 blank dvd. Works with Direct TV but you can't change channels with the software.

Cons: The included software doesn't record in regular dvd video_ts files, and it doesn't convert from it's native mpeg to dvd video_ts for you either you need other software for that step if you want to burn dvd's. They should have included a mpeg to dvd converter in the software so -1 egg.

Other Thoughts: I convert my mpegs to dvd files with ManDVD, a free linux program, so the converting software didn't cost me any extra money, just a little more work to boot to mandriva to encode the mpegs, then back to XP to burn the dvd's in nero. Overall, a good product, works well, does what it says it will do, reasonably good quality and a fair price. So far I have no had a need for pinnacle tech support. I would recommend this product.
