5 out of 5 eggsJust about perfect.

Pros: Easy to install with no hardware conflicts. Stable drivers. Quick operation and a great picture. Decent software bundle.

Cons: BeyondTV OEM version is simply adequate. It's annoying that it keeps begging for money when you shut the program down.

Other Thoughts: Extremely basic card, but does the job and does it well. I really like ADS products, and this one is no exception... especially at the price.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent HD

Pros: Excellent for the price. Running XP Pro, installed the card and the driver, and everything worked as advertised. The picture is good with plain rabbit ears for an antenna.

Cons: Specs should include that you need to upgrade Beyond TV to be able to burn the shows to a DVD, another $50 bucks.

Other Thoughts: Pentium D 3.4GB, 1gb memory, XP pro, 250GB hard drive (filling up fast with all the recordings).

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent HD

Pros: HDTV reciever. It works great with my roof-top antenna plugged into it. I catch all the local HD stations and it looks great!!! NOTE other thoughts below.

Cons: Cannot use more than one due to driver conflicts. I contacted ADS and they said it could not work :( So, I will probably just use an external HD receiver so that I can watch one show while recording another.

Other Thoughts: Some people complain about HD not looking that hot. It all depends on the source. Some shows are broadcast in HD, but are just SD blasted through HD (so the picture quality is not necessarily better due to the source, not this card). I watched the Superbowl in HD, and it was absolutely incredible. I can't wait for the NCAA Tournament to start!!! I use this in a Pentium D 2.8 Ghz computer with 2GB of ram, an NVidia 7600 GS video card, and Beyond TV full version. I couldn't ask for a better PVR setup (other than having two tuner cards that worked together).

4 out of 5 eggsNot To Shaby

Pros: Vista recognized the card right off the bat, works well with Vista Media Center. Decent channel change speed.

Cons: The Cable tuner part of the card was not recognized off the bat. Vista only saw the ATSC tuner and configured it right. I had to install the MCE plug-in for vista to see the cable tuner, decent recording quality from with in Media Center, but there is a little issue with horizontal lines showing up when the action in a show picks up.

Other Thoughts: No way to easly switch from the NTSC/Cable tuner to the ATSC/Digital tuner from with in Media Center or the included Beyond TV, but that maybe because of thouse programs.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent tuner for Vista

Pros: Initial tuner was DOA, RMA'd and the new tuner is great works flawlessly in Vista Home premium. Great picture/quality, have yet to use HD feature. But the analog works great.

Cons: Remote does not work with Media Center, have to buy microsofts :(

1 out of 5 eggsADS InstantHDTV PCI

Pros: Comes with BeyondTV Express software which is pretty cool. You csn upgrade for $xx to full version, but express version does most everything.

Cons: I got two cards, both failed within a week. After lengthy conversation with ADS tech support we concluded that the cards were probably ok, but there was an incompatability with my hardware/software on my PC, specifically my video card/drivers (ATI Radeon X1600). He suggested reinstalling Windows, no way!! I have a Happaugue card made by V-Stream that works flawlessly. Another con, the application software is BeyondTV, and if theres a conflict with it, you have to go to SnapStream to resolve it, ADS wont deal with you on this level, even though they bundle the software with their product. Finally, the ATSC tuner isn't very sensitive, and wouldnt get ANY over the air ATSC channels (I have an HDTV antennae outside). My DishNetwork HDTV receiver gets several ATSC signals, so I know its due to poor sensitivity/design of this product.

Other Thoughts: I tried this card on three different computers before giving up. I am guessing that the ADS device driver needs work! I don't recommend it.

3 out of 5 eggsCould be Really cool.

Pros: HDTV for Free !!

Cons: Buggy drivers and software, even tried updated drivers from the manufacturer. Never could get video to work. Had to reinstall my old Win TV card which works fine but no HDTV :-(

Other Thoughts: Pretty good value if it would have worked on my system.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Bad, but Software smells

Pros: The resolution and sound are pretty good from this card. It was easy to install and easy to configure my cable.

Cons: The software that comes with it is only a trial version, not the full version. This means that if you don't buy the full version (60 bucks) you won't be able to pause live tv, and often with the existing software i lose the picture and have to restart the computer.

Other Thoughts: Is there a third party TV Tuner program?

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Great tuner, Works well with Windows Media Center ( after istalling all the updates including rollup 2)

Cons: Beyond TV and Windows MC don't get along that well.
But you don't need beyond TV unless you are using the card on something other than Windows MC.
