Pros: Excellent off the air HD picture quality as long as the signal strength is good. Inexpensive. Easy set up. Works well with Windows 7 media center. I was able to record TV shows, edit them with Windows Live Movie Maker and convert them to MP4's with Handbrake.
Cons: Started getting buggy after a year. It would stop working and I would intermittently have to unplug and replug it into the USB port. Finally died after two years.
Other Thoughts: Even though it died on me, I'll probably buy another one as it's the least expensive TV tuner on Newegg and it worked well for what I needed.

Pros: Cheapest tuner I could find. Used for recording clearQAM. Will work with other apps, but tricky. In XP, I can get it to work with nextPVR (nPVR 2.4.3) and MediaPortal (MP) in QAM if I first open and tune a QAM channel in TiVme or TotalMedia (TM), then close. Replugging the stick or restarting the PC will force the driver into OTA mode and will need to open TiVme or TM again to set to QAM mode. Annoying. If you ever compare TiVme and nPVR, you can understand putting up with this quirk. nPVR will record without being open and hogging cpu. Best thing is nPVR allows me to record multiple shows at once from the same frequency. I get channels 2-11 on one frequency so I can record all broadcast networks at the same time if I want (this works with other tuners in QAM as well).
Cons: Weird driver design forces OTA (over-the-air) mode when inserted (as stated above). Must have either TiVme or TM installed to get QAM working. The included software is junk. Had to get TM 3.5.23.341 from support to tune in TV module. Still buggy just like all other TM included with these tuners (channels blanking, sometimes while recording, frequent need to rescan). TiVme V1.01.10.0172 was required for stable use (still have typing lag) and was also told by support to never use included update feature once installed. Recording in ts format with TiVme would record some other random channel on the same frequency rather than intended channel while ps format worked fine. Still have random freeze ups of the tuner when a recording finishes (any program). Mostly not happening, but sometimes is sometimes too many. My other tuner (no longer for sale) works fine always.
Other Thoughts: I use dvbcut and bombono dvd free to transfer recordings to dvd.
I am using driver from website (UB435-Q_V1V2_5.2010.1123.0) which is supposedly different from cd though it seems the same. I've tried kworld support for a QAM patch or driver update until they are now ignoring me.
The first one I got was defective with blocking on all channels in QAM (minimal) and audio fallout (every few seconds) in OTA. The second stick is still working. If not for this working in nPVR, I would have given up on it and may have eventually bought a "hopage" stick costing far more. 2.5 eggs, only because it works most of the time and was cheap. If money isn't an issue, definitely look for something else.

Rating: 2/5Get only 2 channel with very clear picture
Pros: - Very clear picture - Easy to use - Compatible with Windows 7 ultimate x64 with included driver
Cons: - Get only 2 channel - Cheap included antenna
Other Thoughts: Windows media center found zero channel with this device. I must use included TotalMedia 3.5 to get 2 channel (1 french & 1 english) with excellent picture. I hope that with a better antenna, I'll get more channel from Montreal,Canada.

Rating: 2/5just OK
Pros: Gets nearly all of the over-the-air channels in my area when connected to an antenna that's mounted in the attic
Cons: Will not pick up one particular channel that all of our TVs are somehow able to get. Software is junk.
Other Thoughts: Ended up buying a Diamond ATI Theater HD tuner card, which cost less than $40. Soooo much better.

Rating: 3/5Version 2 not supported in Linux
Pros: Worked nicely in Windows 7 (I just used Media Center and didn't mess with K-World's software). Picture quality was as good as what I get with a digital converter box to my eyes.
Cons: Version 2 of this stick (which is what Newegg shipped to me) is NOT supported in Ubuntu. Version one is, but there are apparently some significant hardware differences between the two variations, and so if you are looking for a tuner for your linux box, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. A fair amount of time spent with google did not make driver development look promising.

Rating: 5/5Worked great and was easy to use
Pros: It's USB so you don't have to mess with installing a card. It comes with its own antenna but you can easily attach your own to it. Works great with Windows media center and it comes with its own software if you decide not to use it.
Cons: None that I've seen so far.
Other Thoughts: Previously I had tried a PCI-E 1x card for a TV tuner and the reception I got with that thing was spotty. I think it got a lot of interference internally from my computer. This has it beat in ease of set up and use.

Rating: 3/5Two models available
Pros: Older model does work in Linux (Ubuntu 11.10 with kaffeine).
Cons: There are two designs of this tuner stick and both have the same model number and boxes for both use the same UPC code. To be clear K-World doesn't state any support for Linux and both models are designed to work in Windows and, for both models, hardware and/or software MAY be interchangeable in Windows. However, I don't like a manufacturer making a major design change while retaining the same model number and the same UPC code on the box and that's the reason for my low rating. I'll be very hesitant to purchase K-World products in the future because I won't know if I purchase two of of the same model number that they would, in fact, be the same.
Other Thoughts: Linux users need to be aware that there are two models of the tuner stick; I have purchased both models. As mentioned in a review dated 1/26/2012 (not my review) this tuner stick will work in Linux. One model does and one doesn't. The boxes for both models state UB435-Q and the UPC codes on both boxes are the same. A Linux terminal command of lsusb identifies one model as 1b80:a340 and the other model as 1b80:e346. Version 1b80:a340 does work in Linux. Version 1b80:e346 is not recognized in Ubuntu 11.10 with kaffeine installed. The box label for the serial number does show a V2 but I don't know if that should be considered part of a serial number or is meant to indicate version 2 of the tuner stick.
