5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PS

Pros: Reliable, everyone gave it a good review without any cons, unlike other models or brands. Installed it and works like a charm. I also have an older (at least 7 yrs old) 350w enermax, and it's still running strong, and the real why i'm swapping it out, is because I got a new video card from newegg that requires a higher wattage PS.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: newegg is great, got my order in a few mins before 12PM pst on Thursday, wanted it to get it the next day and paid next day shipping so that i can have it ready for the stock market on monday, since I just got two new 30" dell monitors, and newegg came thru and got my package here on time.

5 out of 5 eggswow

Pros: It's great. It's virtually silent, and everything that you could need. Extra long cables for use in full cases. No problems at all.

Cons: No SATA :(

5 out of 5 eggsWell worth the money

Pros: 550W, 650W Peak. Quiet, and powerful. 36A on the 12V rail and very stable voltage. Dual fans. Heavy, about 7 pounds. Very high quality product. 3-Year warranty.

Cons: None at all!

Other Thoughts: Handles multiple drives and a high end video card with no problems. Very well made. This one is well worth the cost.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet and powerful

Pros: Very quiet. No problems powering an AGP x1950 XT video card.

Cons: On/off switch is in a bad position. Or maybe it is just my computer case, but when flush against the back, the case pushes switch to off position.

Other Thoughts: Had to use spare motherboard standoffs to put enough space between psu and back of case. Easy mod, and PSU works great.

5 out of 5 eggsLoads Of Power - But Very Quiet !!!

Pros: Lots of power for heavily configured systems.Compatible with 20/24 pin motherboard plugs.Very quiet operation.Dual fans for added case ventilation.Long harness to reach in full tower cases,3 year warranty.

Cons: The only problem I ran into was that only 2 sata power connectors were installed on the harness and they were one after the other on the same lead wires ,only 6" or so apart. If your devices are not mounted close enough together you will need a sata power adaptor plug to connect to another plug on the harness.

Other Thoughts: This is a monster of a power supply,a very heavy well made unit, buy this you won't be dissapointed.

5 out of 5 eggsStop your searching here

Pros: ASUS A8N5X, AMD 64 3000+ @ 2.55GHz 1.55 Vcore, MSI X1800XT, four 7200rpm HDD, DVD-ROM/CD-RW, Soundblaster Audigy 4.

This thing doesn't flinch, and from the looks of every review I've seen this supply can handle pretty much anything.

36A on the 12V rail almost says it all. This fine piece of engineering has proven itself time and time again. Do not buy into other manufacturer's 700, 800W power ratings. Those are peak power ratings and sometimes do not take into account different loads and high amperage that's REALLY needed to drive todays high powered video cards and CPUs.

Cons: $120 was a little over my price range, but this supply will most likely carry you a while. Keep in mind that this has been around since 2001 and it is still a powerhouse!

Other Thoughts: If you need a lot of power to drive:

a. Multiple drives (4+)
b. Multi-core CPU
c. High power video card

or any combination of those three, this supply is the one for you. Get it!

5 out of 5 eggsquite

Pros: I bought this to upgrade from an enermax 485w Noisetaker. I needed the additional amperage on the +12v to run a newly installed Geforce 7800GS agp card. I was 2amps shy with my other enermax, but it still did the job pretty well. I loved my old enermax, so I decided to go with another one for my upgrade. It's running great and I can't even hear it. It's super quite and doing a great job. Enermax is king.

Cons: The only con I'd say is that right after I'd bought my old enermax, the "Noisetaker" 485w, they started making the "Noisetaker II" 485w, which if I'd spent my money on that, I wouldn't have had to buy another PSU now. The Noisetaker II has 20amps on the +12v, while my Noisetaker only has 18amps. I need the 20. That's why I'm upgrading, but my other PSU is still fairly new. I feel like I wasted my money on that one, even though it's a great PSU.

Other Thoughts: This PSU weighs in around 8lbs. Being that heavy generally means it's a high quality PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsFor over a year and a half now...

Pros: With its single +12v rail of 36 amps, running an A64 X2 3800+ proc on an Asus A8N-SLI non-deluxe, 1 gig of Mushkin dual channel ram, 2 36gb raptors in Raid 0, 1 160gb and 1 200gb hds, a XFX 7800GT Ultimate Molex edition, Audigy 2 ZS, Vantec Spectrum fan card, and NEC ND3520A DVD+-RW. All this squeezed into a Thermaltake sViking Mid-Tower case.

Cons: Wish the fans would a little quicker, wouldn't mind the noise too much, considering the 7800GT has the fan at 100% most the time anyways. Also would have like more molex connectors, another four would have been a good amount, as well as built-in PCI-Express power connectors.

Other Thoughts: Has a nice heft to it. Quality really shows itself, in a 102 degree fahrenheit ambient room temp, during the heatwave in California. Stayed stable during that time, even when heavily gaming.
