1 out of 5 eggsThis item is not good

Pros: Only that its a little bit above the average PSU as far as leads, not much more, oh yeah, dual 12v...
Fan stays on after powering down.

Cons: On 05/2005 the first one was D.O.A.. Then Second one lasted 3 months before a cap blew up shutting it down. Then the 3rd one just went today on 02/2007.

Other Thoughts: Your best to stay away from this one, its a gamble... its not worth the money they get... I'm also not one to keep the computer on all the time. I all ways make sure my case is dust free and set in a place with plenty of venting.

I've never heard of a or seen power unit giving this much trouble.

5 out of 5 eggsRecommended

Pros: It works

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I didn't realize this until it was too late: it's 420 watts and my GPU recommends 450. Well I've overclocked everything very much and haven't had one problem. Must recommend this over other cheaper PSUs.

3 out of 5 eggsBad 2nd Impression

Pros: Quiet, long cables, stylish color

Cons: Worked to install Windows, now
just shutting down. Back to old PS, and all is well.

Could use more SATA power.

Other Thoughts: Since my 1st purchase a couple months ago was great, gave it a "3". But 50-50 is not what I would call reliable.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Decent

Pros: Lots of power, sata connectors, fan continues to run for about three minutes after the computer is turned off.

Cons: Split 12V rails, but not a real big issue.

Other Thoughts: Great Newegg price as always ! ! !

5 out of 5 eggsA good power supply

Pros: I originally purchased the NoiseTaker 320W version about a year ago when I was assembling my mother's computer and I was very impressed with that power supply. This version (420W) seems to be as quiet as the former and fan controls (delay shutdown) is the same, which I really like. The 20+4 connector was a real plus.

Cons: None that I can think of.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome PSU. Fits nicely in my X-QPack case (no modifications needed). Fan is silent and can be monitored through a motherboard connection. Also, there is a fan control on the back if needed. Fan continues to run up to 2 minutes after system shutdown to help cool the case.

Cons: Main cable was a bit stiff. Wish it was modular.

Other Thoughts: Fits the X-QPack nicely but had to remove the CD-ROM drive in order to install it (I put the drive back in afterwards). Also, since the main mobo connector was so stiff, I removed the fdd in order to have a place to put the cable and make room for the abundance of connectors that I had from the PSU.

5 out of 5 eggsA most excellent power supply

Pros: It's very quiet. Other things I liked: 1) the cables were the right length for a mid-tower case, 2) it has enough cables, 3) not too many cables, 4) the infamous "stiff" shielded ATX cable turned out not to be a problem, 5) the tachometer lead for the 80mm fan, 6) the blue color, 7) the gold-colored wire grills, 8) the heavy feel of quality construction, 9) the Enermax reputation. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, the voltages were perfect.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Mine has been running every day all day long for a year and a half. I don't even know it's there.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for HTPC build

Pros: "Noisetaker" is adequately named, for my case, the power supply had to be mounted to the front end of the PC case which is perforated (Lian-Li V800), so limitiing noise works well. And similiar to the earlier comment, the other fans (CPU and case) are more audible. It has been running for well over 2 months 24/7 for HTPC build. I really like the feature to turn down the fan speed.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Can't be mention enough. Newegg service is impeccable.
