5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong

Pros: This should be the standard all PSU's are judged by. I've used this on everything from a Thunderbird to my most recent spec'd system, without a hitch. IMO, this PSU is massively underrated. If you have one, Hang on to it!

I'm fairly sure once I move up to a dual connector video card, I'll have to upgrade. But, until then, I'm going to enjoy the reliability and stability.

Its's a slightly older system, but here are the System Specs:
Antec 300 Case with 3 fans
Athlon II X4 635 2.9ghz
Cooler Master Hyper 212 with dual fans
Gigabyte 770TA-UD3 motherboard
2 x Corsair XMS3 DDR3
MSI Hawk HD5770 Video
2 x Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drives
Avermedia AverTV HD Capture Card

Looking at the specs on this system at all of the online calculators, it appears I would need a 400 watt + PSU.

Cons: motherboard power connector wasn't long enough as a bottom mounted PSU. Had to buy an extension. No big deal.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems after 6.5 years

Pros: This PS has provided reliable service for 6.5 years and I'm still using it after replacing mobo, CPU, & memory in an old machine.

Cons: It's not a 'modern' PS and has its limitations as suggested by its 300W rating and power connectors: no SATA power conns; 20-pin main connector; no PCIe conn, (but it does have a 12V CPU power connector.)

Other Thoughts: My refurbished rig uses the Enermax 300W w/
Foxconn A78AX-S AM2+/AM2 Motherboard
Athlon 64 X2 5000+ Brisbane 2.6GHz Socket AM2 65W Dual-Core
2x1MB DDR2 800 memory (Corsair)
80GB HD - IDE
CD Burner - IDE
Uses on-board graphics.

5 out of 5 eggsNice stuff

Pros: Enermax makes good power supplies for all size computers used in the home or small office.
I have never had a problem in the 4 I have purchased, even during power brownouts.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Enermax is among the top manufacturers in my book.

They did have a short period of time when some bad MOVs got in their system and caused some problems about a year or two ago. That is over.

5 out of 5 eggsstill running strong

Pros: Ive had this power supply running in two rigs which were high end back in 2003 when i first built them. Both computers have been heavily used and have been rock stable. If you plan on oc'ing, i would stay away from this power supply as computers today have larger power demands than in 2003. But for a basic setup, this would be a top choice.

Cons: None for a basic system

Other Thoughts: I strongly believe this power supply is under-rated and is in fact much stronger and more stable than higher wattage power supplies from less reputable brands

5 out of 5 eggsMoney Well Spent

Pros: Great Power Supply. I bought this in a case back in 2001/2002 and I've been running it 24/7 ever since! It is still running stong today! Only reason it is being replaced is due to my greater demand for power. If it wasn't for that I'd keep running it till it dies. It was able to power a 1.4Ghz cpu, 64mb video card, two DVD drives, and 3 hard drives with no problems.

Cons: Only 300W, but for the price you shouldn't have to replace it for the next 5-7 years. Solid powersupply for a simple machine.

Other Thoughts: If I was building another computer for some one who didn't demand much of their computer I would 100% buy this power supply. I've seen it in action and it has definately proved its self as a quality product.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Good Unit

Pros: Installed without a problem, alot more wires than the original but thats to be expected. VERY quiet fan and stable voltage. Needed to update PSU for a video card on an older computer, this does the trick.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value for the $$

Pros: Great amperage on the +12V rail for a 300W PSU. Very Quiet. Firm molex connectors.

Cons: No SATA connectors. (No Biggie)

Other Thoughts: For the money you can't beat this PSU. I highly recommend it for a low to mid range PC.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Quiet, Steady amps & volts. it is quieter than a <25dBa case fan yet it doesn't get very hot.

Cons: none so far, loved this companies products in the past.

Other Thoughts: Nice and quiet, great amps and steady voltage. im using this for a small server so powering a high end video card was not a concern but it is running a intel805 and a gig of ram. for the price the quality and great benefits cant be beat.
