PSU Completely failed after 1 year
- Pros: This power supply has worked well up until recently.
- Cons: After one year of operation, this PSU has managed to completely fail. In addition to simply not powering on anymore, 2 out of 6 hard drives connected to this PSU are also now completely dead. I am quite disappointed.
- Other Thoughts: This power supply was used to power a dual xeon server, with 6 sata hard drives.
Solid PSU Peroid.
- Pros: bought it for my backup rig. Solid rails no problems and really made by FSP. Nice and quiet, lots of cables.
- Cons: non that i can think of.
Only one fan.
- Pros: EPS12V Power Connectors. Very heavy and packed full of components and heatsinks. Quiet fan.
- Cons: Single 80mm fan offers no redundancy in cooling. I hope the single fan can keep going for my Linux server, running 24/7. Also a minor annoyance, there's no master power switch, so you have to pull the plug to get your system to fully power-down!
- Other Thoughts: I bought this for a Tyan EPS12V motherboard, but it turned out that the board worked fine with a standard ATX 12V power supply too. (I gess I should have downloaded and read the motherboard manual carefully first!) I didn't even really need this EPS12V unit at all.
