The Enermax Whisper II PSU balances the twin needs of maximum power and minimum noise. To keep things quiet there are two 80mm fans that work in concert for superior airflow. Fan speed can be controlled by a knob on the back of the PSU so you can set it where you want it. However there is a temperature override switch that will boost fan speed if the PSU gets too hot. The fans also run after you power down to quickly cool things down.

Dual +12V rails ensure a balanced power output for your system no matter what the load. Dual 6-pin PCIe connectors support NVIDIA’s SLI technology. SATA power connectors let you enjoy the performance of today’s high speed drives.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Has an adjustable fan inside, helps reduce noise. Lasted over 5yrs before just now burning out on me. Worked well in full sized atx case. Overclocked with it, had multiple 120mm fans, and a black light.

Cons: non, you get what you pay for and it lasted a long time.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid at 2.5 years and going

Pros: Overall a solid power supply. Has powered my computer for over 2 years and still is going strong.

Cons: None other than a fan buzzing that started after two years of near continuous use.

Other Thoughts: After about 2.5 years the fan has started to make a buzzing noise, but then again it has lasted a fairly long time. Would highly recommend to anyone else looking for a solid, long-lasting power supply for their pc.

5 out of 5 eggsNever go wrong with Enermax

Pros: I've bought 5 Enermax power supplies over the years and never had any issues with any of them.
This one was no exception. Pretty quiet, good power output.
It's currently powering:
Athlon 64 X2 6000+
Nvidia 8800 GT 512MB
4 GB DDR2-800
150 GB WD Raptor Drive
20x DVD-RW
2 - 120 MM fans

Cons: None that I can think of.

2 out of 5 eggsback Fan didn't start

Pros: minus the fan problem, it works now.

Cons: I couldn't get the back fan to work. The wire was connected to the board ok. Tried turning it by hand etc, nothing. Then, my large flashlight accidentally dropped and hit the case. Well that got the fan going somehow.

Other Thoughts: Kick it like a football and it will then work.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine for me

Pros: Not very loud, seems to be putting out good power.

Cons: Would've been nice if it came with some cable ties or were modular.

Other Thoughts: I've been using this power supply for about two years now and have never had a problem with it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: I have had this psu for about 14 months, and I haven't ran into a single problem. Enermax has done everything but to fail on me. This powers my 8800GTS with ease. Stays cool, keeps quiet, and does the job much better than the price.

If no one told me the price of this, I would think it were atleast $110.

Cons: Absolutely none

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this to anyone running high end stuff. A+

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: SLI, 2 fans. NewEgg

Cons: Build quality

Other Thoughts: Bought my first one 9/06 and it died on me 6/07. Got a replacement under warranty from NewEgg and noticed terribly made connectors and terminals. The 6 pin for the video card will not even seat fully and is very hard to get in without taking a chance of breaking video card. Installed it, it ran for 6 hours then it cycled my power off and on rapidly (OUCH). I traced it down the the 24 pin MB connector, the slightest touch to it would shut PC down. Thought maybe I didn't have it seated all the way, pulled everything apart again rechecked my connections didn't find any loose. Checked all the connectors and aside from the quality didn't see anything obvious. Put everything back together carefully and it wouldn't even boot up. Wiggled the 24 pin connector around and power flashed off and on. I'm done with Enermax.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Rock Solid PSU. Powers my e6600 and 8800GTX no problem at all. Best bang for the buck out there.

Cons: none. owned for 3 months, will do an update review in the future

Other Thoughts: Dont read the reviews on newegg. Most of these people dont know what they are talkin about. Go on the internet and find trusted websites and you will see that this PSU is dependable. Then come on newegg and buy it :D
