Neo HE combines the most desired features in PC power supplies with unprecedented efficiency in design. The Antec NeoHE 500 power supply's energy-efficient operation reduces power consumption by up to 20% compared with traditional power supplies, saving you money. It also generates less heat, and enables cooling with a smaller, slower, quieter fan. Active PFC circuitry further reduces impact on the power infrastructure. The result is cooler, quieter, and more environmentally friendly power.
The Antec NeoHE 500’s Universal Input capability, ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V compliancy, and backward compatibility with all ATX12V systems enable you to use it in a variety of situations, and almost everywhere, without worrying about input voltages. Dedicated Power Circuitry, industrial grade protection circuitry, and Active PFC deliver safe, reliable output. Your new power supply is meant to be long-lasting, with an MTBF of 80,000+ hours.
The presence of one Main connector (20 + 4 pin), one 12V (P4), six peripherals, four SATA, one Floppy, and two PCI-E connectors are more than enough for all your components. Three +12V output circuits provide maximum stable power for the CPU independently of the other peripherals. This PSU is also ready to run SLI-enabled systems with no diminution in quality or reliability. Bring new power to your system with this remarkable supply!

amazing +12v rail
- Pros: runs very cool, very quiet, works perfectly, and the +12v rail never changes from 12.01 no matter what i throw at it! i've never had a PSU's rails so stable under load. under heavy gaming and folding, i'm completely stable, using an overclocked Venice and overclocked 6800gt.
- Cons: not personally.
- Other Thoughts: in regards to those with ASUS mobos: from what i've read it seems that ASUS's BIOS misreads the HE's voltage levels, and doesn't allow the PC to start as a result. Antec and ASUS are both currently working to resolve the problem. Antec has already released a revised version of the HE a few weeks ago, and i believe ASUS is examining their BIOS...
- Pros: The modular cables make it easier to organize cables. Powerful and stable 12 volt rail. The fan is very quiet, I have to put my ear next to the power supply under low to medium loads. Also, this power supply was built by Seasonic to Antec's specifications. Anyone who knows anything and whose name is not Bicho knows that Seasonic are know for efficient, quiet, and solid power supplys.
- Cons: Despite being Seasonic built, this Antec isn't quite up to the higher end build quality of most of Seasonic's units (S and M series), nor other rebadged Seasonics (PC&Power, Corsair).
Also, at the normal price, there are better options for the money. This PSU is really something you should get if you can knock of an Andrew Jackson or two though.
- Other Thoughts: At the price that I got it for, it can't be beat.
Also, Bicho, you list your knowledge as high, yet you don't know that Seasonic is a premier power supply builder? What a joke. Also, Antec's TruePower series and many of their older supplies were all built by CWT (Channel Well Technology) DESPITE the UL number saying it was built by Antec. Antec's Earthwatts and TrioPower series are also Seasonic built. Antec does not build their own power supplies. Most companies rarely do. The main ones easily found in retail places are Fortron/Sparkle, Seasonic, and Enermax (Yes, I do know there are quite a few more).

- Pros: What a dog.
- Cons: DOA
- Other Thoughts: Hopefully the replacement will work
dead on arrival
- Pros: Looks like it would be nice-- but unfortunately can't power my PC on looks!
- Cons: Didn't work at all. Wouldn't even power the case fans.
Almost 3 years old now...
- Pros: almost 3 years and not a problem out of this supply... ive had MB's and case fans come and go but this thing has remained quiet and rock solid. Will see soon how it handles newer processors as im slowly replacing parts atm and will go for a 3x or 4x proc.
- Cons: none
