Athena Power AP-P4ATX50F12 500W
- Pros: Solid PSU. Handled everything I threw at it. Lasted almost 4 years. Overclocked A8nSLI board.
- Cons: Nothing bad to say about it.
You get what you pay for
- Pros: Good cooling with the 120mm fan.
Ample power for my older Socket 939 Opteron system with 2 hdd 1 optical drive and basic PCI express card.
- Cons: No PCI express power cables.
Cables are almost too long.
- Other Thoughts: This has been a good stable power supply for the last year and half, however it's starting to squeal and it's not the fans, I've checked them. It's on its way out I believe. I paid 7 bucks less than this in Feb '07 so I believe I got my use out of it.
Great Stable Power
- Pros: Long cable, many options, stable power, nice power switch function for low consumption, strong ventilation when needed, nice blue light
- Cons: I wish it will have more connectors a more power, next step up is only 550W
- Other Thoughts: I bought this power supply three years ago and I am very happy with it. It switches to low power but gradually builds up when needed. very stable, I actually move it into a core2duo server where it does a great job.
