Works Fine
- Pros: Does just what I want it to. Moves a lot of air.
- Cons: None so far.
- Other Thoughts: Cheap and strong enough.
Pretty Ok, so far...
- Pros: This seems to put out pretty stable voltage, and is very quiet. Pretty straight-forward, no frills PSU.
- Cons: None yet.
- Other Thoughts: As others have remarked, the cables on this unit are *very* short. In my own circumstance, this is not a bad thing, as I'm building an HTPC rig with a very small form-factor. It does limit the placement of the PSU relative to the mobo a bit, but shouldn't be much of an issue if you're building a SFF rig.
Works Fine
- Pros: Inexpensive. Looks like every other power supply I've seen.
- Cons: The cables are a little shorter than my old power supply, but still reach OK (my case is also a few years old and therefore a little larger).
- Other Thoughts: Installation is a little tricky. I've upgraded hard drives, RAM, and a CPU once, but this had a lot more parts. I used a camera to take pictures of where everything was connected to make sure I could put it all back together again. :)
Lastly, through Newegg I was able to put in the model number of my old PS and use the Similar Items section to find ones with matching specs. Nice!
