A tank!

Tech Level Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: more than 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: I have been using this power supply for quite a while. I decided to review it only now because I realize how great a piece it is after all this time. Currently running a C2Q6600@3GHz, 8800GT, 4Gb DDR2800, Raptor 150Gb and X-Fi on an Asus P5E-VM HDMI mATX board. My roommates and I have taken to calling this PSU "the tank" because not only does it run a beast of a system, but the fan failed once and it ran this system *without a cooling fan* for 2 weeks until I realized what had happened. That also speaks to how quiet it is. Awesome PSU, period. And cheap.
Cons: Not modular. No bells, no whistles.
Other Thoughts: I'm gonna run it til it dies, which will probably be a long time from now.

Works.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: 400W Max, 350W. Enough SATA connections to please me (I only use two lol), very quiet, fits snug, wasn't DOA (I've only had it 1 day, maybe I should review later but it hasn't failed yet, I bought a 1 year extended warranty just in case). Works.
Cons: Cords aren't sleeved, can be a tad messy but I don't care, some people apparently are picky on that though. Only 2 SATA, I don't care though as I only use 2 SATA HDD's but some people do I guess.
Other Thoughts: If you're on a budget, don't intend to get a ton of high-wattage stuff for your PC, or want to upgrade from the horrible original PSU your PC/Case came with like I had (I had a 250W lol), then buy this. Works, has enough horsepower, very quiet. Nothing amazing, nothing horrible. Just a good PSU.

FSP 400W PSU

Tech Level Tech Level: average - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: The legs of the psu read within tolerance and the mobo booted right up. Much better than the other psu I tried which made the green light blink and the mobo didn't boot.
Cons: not enough 12vdc connectors
they should advertise it as a 350W because that is what the total power is.

You get what you pay for

Tech Level Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Nice price for the watts and cabling. Enough of each type of cable to get by.
Cons: Poor quality PSU. The fan started grinding within the first week of usage. (If I wait even longer, the fan will outright stop working and then the PSU Will overheat and fail.) I should have known better than to go with FSP (never heard of them, but I figured I would save 10 bucks and go with a cheap PSU.) I learned my lesson to stick with tried-and-true brand names. I returned this unit for a refund and I will be purchasing a better quality PSU made by Corsair for only 10 dollars more.
Other Thoughts: Don't make the same mistake I did. Even if it means paying 10 - 20 dollars more for the same watt PSU, go with manufacturers that know how to build these things properly. Corsair, Thermaltake, Enermax, OCZ, Coolermaster, Zalman, etc...
