Great Unit
- Pros: Modular Wiring Rules! Use only what you need. Good amount of watts. Very solid construction, great looking PSU
- Cons: Large PSU, had to remove the 80mm fan out of the top of my NZXT Lexa case for it to fit.
- Other Thoughts: You need to have ample room below your psu for the modular wiring. If you have a large CPU fan, or your cpu fan is high up on the MB, be careful with ordering this psu.
- Pros: Runs fine. e6600, Intel BX2, 2gb Crucial 8500, 8800gts, 2 DVD's, 2 HDD, multiple fans in a Mozart TX case.
- Cons: Placement of Modular cables is awkward, at least in this case.
- Other Thoughts: If not for my choice of case, I'd give it a 6. Not Hiper's fault.
No Problems
- Pros: Installed and worked as advertised. The mirror finish on the case is excellent as are the modular cables' sleeving and clips. Hard to make a mistake installing this one. Modular connectors do take up a LOT of space, so make sure you have a couple of inches of room between the bottom of the PS and other components in your system. The fans are nearly silent, and move a decent amount of air.
This unit has worked perfectly since the moment I installed it. Time will tell if it can go the distance.
- Cons: None for me, but beware of space requirements for modular connectors and cabling.
- Other Thoughts: Make sure the included cabling has all the connectors you will need for your components. If not, be sure to order additional modular extenders from Hiper.
