Update: Lightscribe of Lesser Quality
- Pros: Same as before
- Cons: After further research, and trying other brands, the lightscribe quality of these discs is as good as its competitors.
Apparently, Lightscribe DVDs have an extra layer of plastic that Lightscribe CDs do not have. And this extra layer is what accounts for the blurry, and distorted, image when compared to a Lightscribe CD.
Cheap
- Pros: Cheap. Light Scribe work well. When burned at slow speed, reliable.
- Cons: Uneven quality. Can't burn at close to rated speed or failure rate is high. Tried with several different DVD burners
Lightscribe of Lesser Quality
- Pros: The data side produces good burns without errors.
- Cons: I was very disappointed with the lightscribe burn quality.
The lightscribe side produces a far lesser quality image than other media - especially when compared to the good quality of the lightscribe Verbatim CD-Rs.
