Amazing!
- Pros: -Build Quality

- Other Thoughts: When I first opened the box, I was amazed on how well this enclosure was put together. Installation was really easy, everything had a snug fit. I do notice that the polished exterior does get fingerprints on it everywhere, but is not noticeable unless you look really close. When its on, there is really no sound that comes out of the case. Some people complain that the front LED light is too bright at night, if thats a problem, then you dont have to plug in the power for the LED, your choice. All in all, this was the best $xx I ever spent. Thanks Newegg!
Sweet Enclosure
- Pros: Great build quality, aluminum case and mounting rack, compact size makes it easy to transport, dual voltage input reduces heat generation in the case, and it is even easy on the eyes!
- Cons: The vertical stand is almost useless. It only adds half an inch to the width of the base and it has no rubber feet to keep it from sliding. The rubber feet on the side of the enclosure work well, though in hot conditions it is best to keep the drive upright to maximize cooling.
- Other Thoughts: I've owned the Nexstar 1 for almost a year and it has treated me well. This model seems to be more durable and easier to assemble. If you are looking for an enclosure that is compact and quiet, this thing is definitely for you.

Eh...
- Pros: Not Many. Will get the job done.
- Cons: You cannot fit an IDE drive inside the enclosure and still be able to close it all the way. I am having to use it without the cover with the IDE and PWR running to the IDE Drive.
- Other Thoughts: I only bought this because it was cheap. I got the data off the IDE's I needed but could never get the enclosure to close when a drive was inside.
Works, useful and easy to use
- Pros: It works with all the IDE drives I have tried in it so far (10), and works flawlessly, just have to plug it in and start copying off files.
- Cons: Not quite as easy as a dock, that you just put in and eject, this one requires you open the case and screw in the drive each time and the wires inside are kinda annoying if they get stuck.
I'll buy another
- Pros: Fairly slim, side standing and stable, power switch, power on LED, $CHEAP$
- Cons: The power adapter covers two outlets on a surge protector unless you plug it into one of the end outlets. This caused me to have to reboot my pc which was a little annoying. Installation was a little difficult because it's a very tight fit for the HDD, but once it's installed, that's actually a pro for this enclosure as you don't want your drive to slide around or have any wires getting chaffed.
- Other Thoughts: I bought the red version because it was a few bucks cheaper, but if you're into the looks department, get the black or blue because the blue power-on LED on the front of this enclosure looks ridiculous with the red casing. I don't care, but just FYI.
