Not so good for HD use
- Pros: Great for use with DVD/CD drives
- Cons: I bought this to be a jack of all trades external drive. It has the capabilities to serve as both an external DVD enclosure and an external HD enclosure. It sucks as a HD enclosure because the HD doesnt line up to be mounted correctly. So you can connect the HD but it has to just rest in the enclosure.
- Other Thoughts: By cheaper a separate DVD enclosure.
I love this case
- Pros: Seriously, love it. It's durable, it's quiet, it's firewire, inexpensive, and it's black! The sturdy metal construction makes transportation less scary. Use an older black DVD writer in it for swapping around multiple systems

- Other Thoughts: Seriously, love it. Looking for a version with SATA for 3GB/s transfer.
Great, quiet enclosure
- Pros: Quiet fan, sturdy design, USB and FireWire/IEE1394 support, seems to keep the drive cool enough without becoming overly loud. Great for HTPC environments (mine's on a MacMini).
- Cons: Connecting the drive produced a crunching sound, causing me to think I had broken it and check NewEgg's return policy
- Other Thoughts: Awesome little case, well worth the money. A similar hub from another vendor is almost unbearably loud, but this case is very, very quiet. I currently have two of them and will be purchasing a third rsn.
