1 out of 5 eggsWhere is my rebate?

Pros: It works

Cons: Apevia will ignore your rebate.

Other Thoughts: They said 10-12 weeks, its been 13 and I have not gotten my rebate. I ordered this for one machine and was going to use the rebate to help buy a psu for another, looks like I wont be able to run crossfire for two more weeks

Manufacturer Response:

To check the status of your Mail-in Rebate, please send an e-mail to rebate@apevia.com stating your name, address, the name of the store where you purchased the item, what you purchased, the rebate amount and the rebate period. We have a 10-12 week processing period on our rebates which starts from when we receive the rebate.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad so far...

Pros: This was the original power supply that was in my case.

Cons: I had to replace the original power supply that was in my case with a cheaper power supply. Then the cheaper power supply just died on me so I decided to give this another try. Also rebate offer helped my decision making.

Other Thoughts: I just hope this last me until I build my new i7 beast.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: The lights are not super obnoxious as I would expect for being clear with tons of lights, on the same note the green sleeved and uv reactant cables are pretty sweet. The many cables allow for many expansions inside of the computer. Also having a fan control makes for a better experience when you have a temporary hate for every and all noises. While not advertised it also comes with a pci-e connector unlike advertised. The cables are also very long.

Cons: While also a pro, the many long cables tend to get in the way when trying to increase airflow. And the single pci-e and only 2 sata connections is starting to get on my nerves when looking for what to order. But these are not enough to knock off an egg.

Other Thoughts: I would suggest one for somebody that is looking to upgrade their system but I would NOT recommend for somebody that has a window in their case as this would drive you crazy enough to break open your case and drill the lights out. I will be replacing this one eventually but that is so I can run crossfire X, otherwise it is a good power unit.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply

Pros: High quality power supply that has been running without problems for the past 6 years in a machine that I rarely turn off. Matches with my blue LED case fans.

Cons: Finally died after 6 years of heavy use, to be expected.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a reliable power supply that looks great then don't hesitate to buy this one!

5 out of 5 eggsLooks Cool

Pros: This thing looks cool. The Fan Speed Adjuster is nice as well. I'm a sucker for lights and colors so this fit well into my build. I like how everything is sleeved up and not just wires running everywhere and the fact the sleeves are UV green make it even cooler. This has more than enough power to run my system.

Cons: The fans are a little loud, of course newegg didn't advertise it as silent, but the back on the PSU does say "speed adjuster for ultra silence." also newegg specs dont list a set of install screws but the pictures show them and mine didn't have any so that's a little disappointing because I had to salvage old ones from another build.

Other Thoughts: I'm not entirely sure what 1 or 2 12v rails means, and Im not sure if it matters or not, but there's another PSU just like this one for 1$ more that has 2 rails, which I didn't see until today. Another rail might leave room for more upgrades or something, but I think this one will be ok for my usage.

1 out of 5 eggsthe little engine that couldn't

Pros: Looks cool, was cool for about 2-1/2 hours.

Cons: Tried to run it on a:
Quad core intel core 2
4 gb ram
1 gb video card
1tb harddrive
1 dvd-rw
3 fans
some led lights

and it quit after 2-3 hours : (

Other Thoughts: I was nervous as soon as I ordered this P/S, I knew that the system I was running might be a little much.
I had made sure all the specs I was running was enough for the lil 500W guy, and it was "in theory".

Wouldn't boot the hard-drive, and then once i re-connected the hd to a diff sata port, only the front leds lit up. Then upon restarting it, it was completely dead.

After putting my computer together from scratch, I hopped on NewEgg and found the Apevia Warlock 900W P/S on sale for 1/2 off!!! Hopefully newegg can allow me to send back and pay the difference.

This new P/S is kinda like the big brother of the other one, and I am looking forward to it running my new system!!

5 out of 5 eggsReliable PSU with Great Looks

Pros: This is a great power supply that has lasted six and a half years in a home built PC! I built my PC the spring of 2003! This power supply survived for three years on the California brown-out power system and has been continually used without a lot of power down time. I'm a firm believer of leaving you PC on all the time and running all your updates and defrags in the middle of the night, so my computer has been on for the last six years. I highly recommend this power supply and if you would like to see it mounted in a case, this is the same power supply that is supplied with the Aspire X Super Alien case. It comes in many colors.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsall for looks

Pros: Colorful, uv reactive wire braiding, all pleasing to the eyes

Cons: the 80mm fans are LOUD when cranked all the way. 12v rails are not very stable at all.. upside down, non modular. Meh not pleased with it. as said its all for looks.

5 out of 5 eggs4+ years of abuse, only stopped by lightning

Pros: I built my PC in June of '04 and regularly would not turn off my PC for weeks at a time. I've never had an issue with it until a lightning strike 2 days ago.

Cons: Long case. Caused a conflict with the top case fan. I'd make sure the dimensions will fit your PC case.

4 out of 5 eggsUpside down!!

Pros: Nice lighting, long cables, good output.

Cons: Upside down!! The clear portion fits downward, not up (if standard). Pictures somewhat deceiving.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for my son's acrylic build. I was surprised to find that the clear part goes down (if standard), despite the pictures making it look like the unit fits upward.
