5 out of 5 eggsFine PSU

Pros: Easy to install.
All of the expected plugs are included in generous quantities.
Adjustable fan lets you achieve your best cooling/noise balance.

Cons: The extra vent holes around the side don't actually help much.

Other Thoughts: The 3-color LED switch was a nice touch, but since my case is blue I don't ever use the green or red lights.

5 out of 5 eggsreally good

Pros: so far this product is good didn't have any problems installing. uv cables look really good and no more messages from video card saying unsufficient power ;) comes with free silent combo kid which comes in handy when you have 5 fans on the case

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: the fan on it throws air inside the case not only making hot air go inside but also sucks dust into the power supply

4 out of 5 eggsfreakin' sweet

Pros: more power than needed, has every connection for current systems, looks good (although i don't really care too much about that)

Cons: the "vent holes" don't work like they should, it lets hot air escape into the system instead of out the back of the case

Other Thoughts: i'm happy with my purchase

5 out of 5 eggsGreat psu

Pros: Sleeved cords, Large fan to help keep cool, adjustable fan speed which also will change the speed of all other fans in your case, changeable colors. Looks very nice in a modded case and saves you the time of sleeving a case on your own. If you want this one to really show off its looks, make sure that you have a UV light in your case to make the cords glow

Cons: Built in fan can be noisy, can't turn off lights. Best alternative is to turn the light to red which keeps it dim enough to almost not be noticeable.

Other Thoughts: Received this product in 2 days from ordering. GREAT service!

5 out of 5 eggsPCI-Express Connection?

Pros: Every other aspire chameleon power supply on newegg is labeled as having a PCI-E connection, except for this one. Aspire's website also claims this unit has a pci-e; can anyone verify that it does in fact have the connection? I'd hate to drop the money and find out that all the models but the silver one had it ;)

Cons: Thanks!

5 out of 5 eggsSweet Power Supply!

Pros: Built a PC w/ AMD-64 and DFI Lan Party MB. PC has lots of "light-up" goodies - 2 HD's, 2 DVD-RW's. PS from that came with case died in less than 1 year - replaced with this Aspire - Unbelievalbe quality - quiet - nice light effects and no power problems. Very generous on lengh of power cables and plenty of them to boot. Perferrated holes around power supply allow great air flow and lots of light.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Make sure you have a case fan as the design of this power supply may disperse some heat in the case. My install actually lowers the case temp - but that's because my old power supply was junk.

5 out of 5 eggsSo far so good...

Pros: Powers my new system fabulously to date. This is what I just built:

AMD Opteron146 (overlocked from 2.0 ghz to 2.75 ghz)
G.skill extreme series PC4000
DFI RS482 Infinity mobo
Sapphire x1800XT
Soundblaster Audigy ZS 2 platinum
LG 16x DVD Writer
Foxconn 16x DVD Rom

Powered with this unit and it's running like a dream.

Cons: none yet, but I may be wishing later that I had spent more money on my PSU.

Other Thoughts: Things are great a little less than a month in. Let hope that continues to be the case.

3 out of 5 eggsSame thing... squealng

Pros: Great output. This thing definitely puts out enough power for everything I was doing.

Cons: The same problem as a previous review:

After about a 10 months of owning this PSU, it started making occasional squealing sounds. Upon further inspection, I found out that the 120mm fan had started going... Basically, I had to take the entire thing apart, get rid of the current fan, tape off the wires from the LED switcher, and plice in a new 120mm. The PSU works fine now, but no more flashy lights.

Other Thoughts: If you don't mind getting a cheap fan that you'll have to replace later on, this PSU is a great buy.

4 out of 5 eggsso far... so good...

Pros: fits nicely into my case and looks really good thanks to the color changing LED's in the supply itself. cleaned up my case as well... no longer have wire's running all around.

Cons: non that i can see the power supply having... kinda disappointed that the fan that came with it was too large to put into my case...
