happy customer
- Pros: quiet. 7 yr old son was annoyed that his old 300 W ps at 40+dBa was replaced by something that he can't tell is on. quiet and powers the system.
- Cons: isn't 1000% efficient so i can't sell electricity back to the power company? Also, it's only quiet and not quite. if only it was quite.
- Other Thoughts: Using in gigabyte 690G full atx, 4000+, 2 gig ram, 160- gig WD1600AAJS. if i get a couple of extra vid cards then i will upgrade. otherwise, i can't hear this thing at all, son put hand behind ps and said it's working some warm air is coming out. i love it. replaced obnoxious 300W with fan from year 2000 athlon in my full tower which i love and have now repurposed. don't let the noisy fan replacement scare you. this ps is nice and quiet. it's earned it's high rating. great for running my low power system playing games like slune, planet penguin racer, tux kart, webkinz etc
Works like a charm
- Pros: Active PFC, solid performance, very low noise
- Cons: +12V rail is abnormally low (~10.5V), causing unexpected undervolting of processor.
- Other Thoughts: The slits on the cable-side of the supply tend to release some heat to the case rather than to outside, so I advise you either block it or keep the uppermost space of 5.25" bay free (for regular ATX models). Most rigs, gaming or not, won't take more than 300W peak, unless it has SLI or its equivalent. I'm using first revision of the power supply.
Silent
- Pros: Excellent PS for Hometheater PC due to its quietness
- Cons: Not enough power for serious game rigs
