The Toughpower 750W power supply just looks cool! The gloss black finish is near flawless. Too bad it'll remain hidden in your case. Sturdily built, it’s SLI and Dual-Core ready, but really shines in CrossFire testing! Most important in any PSU is the 12V rail supply. Most components pick up off of that rail. The Toughpower has four separate +12V rails so you're guaranteed crisp, clean power delivery. Each one of these four rails can handle 18 Amps of overload before a safety shutdown occurs.
The mirror effect housing, temperature auto control, silent 140mm fan, and Noise Preventive Silicon Pad help reduce vibrations and noise emissions, increase airflow and cooling and, thus improve performance. Universal Input, along with ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V compliancy, ensures that you can use it in a variety of situations and almost everywhere, without worrying about input voltages.
One Main connector (20 + 4 pin), one 12V (P4), one 12V (8pin), eight peripherals, six SATA, two Floppy, and two PCI-E connectors will cover all your components. Four next generation +12V rails support high-end PC systems and twinned graphics cards. This is a heavy-duty, serious power supply designed to bring you enough power for any potential configuration and a great value. Get one today, and let your foes feel the power!
Pros: I own a custom computer shop and this PSU doesn’t let me down. On my personal rig I have 7 (count em) 7 hard drives (500GB WD SATA 3gb/s), 2 DVD drives, 4 Gigs RAM, 7950GX2 Graphics cards, etc. This is my "Show Off" rig, also equipped with all kinds of fans, light, and accessories. This PSU doesn’t even struggle, no cutouts, doesn’t get hot, can’t hear it, great cables, easily disconnect any connector by squeezing the sides, yet they stay rock solid connected at ALL times when not squeezed. Couldn't ask for more.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Instead of buying 2 or 3 "Cheap-O's" buy one PSU that will do the job right!

Plenty of juice

Pros: Recently went SLI on my system to accomodate the new 24 inch widescreen on its way as well. Video card arrived a day sooner and after playing some battlefield 2 with sli enabled my entire pc would just shut off and times of heavy load. This psu is brand new as well, it is advertised as SLI rdy, Thermaltake purepower 600 watt. I didn't do my homework tho and did not realize having 2 7900 gtx would draw even more juice than some of the older cards in SLI. Popped this thing in and everything runs like it should. Quad 12v rails are where its at.
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: more than 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Rock solid performance from day 1 to 3+ years now. Never ever any questionable behavior from this PSU. Will reach everything in my P180 case except as noted below.
Cons: Not modular. Price could be better, but I feel I got my money's worth. The 4 pin m/b connector could be longer. I have mine running over the expansion cards, never found an extender.
Other Thoughts: Friends thought I was crazy when I put out 190 for a psu, but my build proved out with 3 years of flawless performance, minus 1 74g raptor which just died. Build: Antec P180b case W0117RU 750w PSU Gigabyte P35-DS3R m/b Intel Core2-Quad 9400 XFX nVidia 8800 Ultra graphics card (with arctic cooling fan set) 4x 1gb Corsair Dominator DDR2-800 (no fan) 1x Plextor DVD +/- RW combo (pata) 4x Western Digital 74gb Raptors sata-1(two raid 0 arrays) 1x Western Digital 250gb IDE (pata) (vantec ez-swap) 1x Western Digital 500gb SATA (vantec ez-swap) Zalman 9500 cpu cooler. Floppy/multi-reader
Nothing OC'd, runs cool on air, not quiet, but not a jet engine. 5x 120mm antec tri-cools in case. Processor never gets more than 10deg farenheit over room temp, case temp never more than 104deg farenheit after 4-6 hours straight gaming. First ran with Vista-Ultimate 64, then XP 32, back to Vista-Ultimate 64, and now with Windows 7 ultimate 64
Originally had an E6600, Q9400 on F13 bios up
